I cannot stop making scenes with the new House of Haunts. I love this set! Here I paired it with Booglie Eyes and the fence from Home is Where the Haunt is.
I stamped and embossed the fence, house, tree and ghost before starting my brayer work. I colored the moon and the windows and the fence posts and then embossed them to resist ink when I did my background. I also masked the ghost so he wouldn't turn green! After I brayered and sponged on the sky and the grass, I stamped the ghost again and popped him up on dots. I really liked the dimension that it added having him popped up.
I did not keep track of the inks I used very well but if memory serves (and sometimes it doesn't), I started the sky with Marigold morning and then brayered on some Vintage Violet and then sponged the edges with Black Soot. For the grass, I brayered on Old Olive and then added some sponged shadows with True Thume and sponged black soot around the edges. It's hard to see in the photo but there is a hint of a dirt path through the yard, which was made by sponging on brushed corduroy ink. I need to practice making paths, I found it hard to mask that area and get the shape I wanted.
Finally, I added some ribbon and some dew drops and I was done. Whew!
