You may ask, how can this be "faux" brayered sky? Well the answer is easy, I didn't use a brayer for this effect.
I took my barely banana stamp pad, and stamped it directly to my paper. Then I took my apricot appeal and did the same thing, only further up on the paper.
I noticed some white spots so before I went any further, I grabbed a sponge, dipped it in banana, and started stroking it along the paper hitting any spots I missed. As I was getting further up, I used the banana and the apricot.
My third layer was more mustard, I again stamped it directly to the paper. I used the corner of the stamp pad to get along the corners and give that added dimension, then went back and used my sponge.
When I achieved the look I wanted, I stamped the flowers from upsy daisy in choc chip. I decided the top needed something so I used the birds from Eastern Influence in choc chip. I stamped it 3 times.
what do you think?
