I am loving this sketch layout! I think I could make about 2 dozen cards using different scraps up on each, and not get bored with it!
My neice has a birthday on Christmas day, so I think I'll save this for her card. I am finally inking up this stamp set, so here's the details.
The bg paper is retired su's cerise. The bg pieces were cut exactly to Roxy's dimensions, and glued to the C.Celery panel. I was going to sponge the edges, but chose to leave them alone.
The cupcakes were stamped on V.Vanilla with Staz-on and colored with a blender pen and re-inkers. I punched a hole on either side of the cake stand, and added the ribbon knot. Then the Liquid Applique was put on the cupcakes and left to dry for a while. I then went about my day as I waited for the LA to dry - did some laundry, fought with my 44 tomato plants (yes, really - 44 - in an 8X10 garden!) and started dinner.
After dinner (pork chops) I came back to the LA, heated it to make the cupcakes puff, and then decided the cherries needed some shine. So a little dab of Crystal Effects onto those did the trick. But what to do about an accent down the side??? I decided on mixing a drop of Real Red re-inker into a nickel-sized puddle of CE and placing the goo onto the card with my wood stylus. They would have been perfect drops but I just can't leave well enough alone. So now they look more like those cinnamon imperials (red hots).
Anyway, I assembled the card, with the image on dimensionals. I'll let you know if the red CE dries by Christmas in time to give this card to my neice!
