My dad, who turns 69 this year, is more active than men half his age. Not only does he ride his bicycle everywhere possible, go to the gym several times a week, participate in community events, lead kayaking trips and volunteer in the surgery ward of the hospital twice a week, but just last week he took a part-time job at a hardware store. This card is to tell him congratulations on the job and to let him know how cool I think it is that he is keeping so active.
I received this Fixafella image in Wish Rak (thanks Diane!). Like everyone else, I love scalloped edges, but didn't think it was appropriate for a "guy" card, so I used some postage stamp edge dec scissors for the rust strip instead. I also had another sentiment that I wanted to use but it wouldn't fit in the space, but I think Best Wishes can still express the idea. I stacked 2 of the pointy circle punches (don't know what it is called) to give it more dimension. I used two sizes of square punches to create the photo corner.

What a fine card for your dad! I love your proud description of him. The colors on the card are perfect and the corner treatment on the image is a great touch! Happy Birthday, Dad!

Great job using Fixafella! I love the colors you used too. Isn't Swiss Dots your favorite embossing folder? It is so versitale! I'm glad I could help create such an awesome card. Thanks for sharing, Susan!
