So, once upon a time I seen the words for this VSN and the host call go out so I was sitting thinking of all the people I knew who were sick and had caught a bug. And then my mind instantly flashed to that scene in Jurassic Park where the guy holds up his walking stick and he has a bug caught in the fossill. Its pretty but, its supposed to be trapped in amber so its hard to see. and then I thought OK what if you have a "get well" themed card using the cracked glass technique on it. Some people do this with ultra thick embossing enamel. it can also be done with diamond glaze. ( if you go the diamond glaze route the drying time does not count for this challenge) here is a link to a tutorial for UTEE and cracked glass if you have not tried this before. ( its big pieces so its easier to keep the pieces on the cardstock from melting under your image and blowing the heat UP)

My favourite stamp for get well cards VSN O Don't Crack Up!
Well, nearly. For a broken limb I love my WhipperSnapper chick, and I love the chicken soup one I got from them too. OK, I have lots of favourite get well stamps . This was a good one to add to my stash, DH has been using a lot recently.

I know the 45 minute thing is scary sometimes in your head but, what I find the more VSN challenges I do is the faster my card making has become ( even not during challenges)

okay, when i click on the link HERE for this gallery challenge i get the one that is for using the letter B, am i doing something incorrectly?

Here's my Twinkling Dragonfly. Obviously I do not read instructions very well because I totally missed the part that it was supposed to be a get well card -- I guess I was so excited about doing the cracked glass (and frustrated because I couldn't find my jar of UTEE!).

I just love this technique - I'm going to have to buy some UTEE and have another go. Glossy accents worked (eventually) but its taken hours to dry enough to crack.

I've read of people putting the glue covered image in the freezer to get it cold enough to crack too.. ( just a thought )

A fun technique! Here is mine.
I just found out there was another challenge at a 11. I was sick all day yesterday and gone all day today. So don't know if I will be able to get three done that I haven't done.

This is my get well card using the crackle technique. I was pretty surprised when it actually did crack when I took it out of the freezer!
