Default Securing Ribbon Ends

Does anyone have a way of securing the end of the ribbon on the spool? I'm getting frustrated with my SU ribbon spools. Once I take the plastic wrapper off, the ribbon seems to continuously unroll.

I was thinking of using either a small piece of scotch tape or a common pin. But thought either of these might ruin the ribbon and/or make me waste it.

No matter how I store it, either on a spool or sideways it's driving me crazy. Any ideas?

Thanks

That's a fabulous idea. How come I didn't think of that. I knew one of the wonderful Splitcoast people would come thru. This place is the best.

I use a small binder clip and clip the end to the spool.

I've used that press and seal saran wrap before and it works pretty good.

A similar idea, I cut a slit along one of the lines on the spool and secure the ribon in it. Kind of like on a spool of thread.
