Question punches and chipboard

Can any of the SU punches be used to cut chipboard? Would I be better off using coluzzle? Thanks for your help. Lil

I would NOT risk using my punches on chipboard - I think they'd break or at the very least get damaged. To punch holes in chipboard I always use a Crop-a-Dile. I've never used a coluzzle, but I guess you could make multiple passes with the blade, but it might become dull. If you want to make specific shapes, I'd use a die cutting machine. If you or a friend doesn't own one, your local scrapbooking store might have one you can using during an open crop. HTH.

I wouldn't use my punches either. I have used my cuttlebug dies for chipboard and they work great!

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't have a die cutting machine. I will have to look for pre cut chipboard. Lil

for pre-cut chipboard HL's Paper Studio brand has packages with very good prices and they often run it 40 or 50% off!

Default chipboard

What do you use for chipboard? do you buy sheets of it somewhere or just use old cereal boxes? i'm just starting to get into chipboard. I just bought some already cut ones, but i'm getting a cuttlebug next week so i heard i can use that to cut my own. I don't really know anything about it...any help would be great!!!!

Also, when you cut your own...do you paint them or cover them in ds or what do you do? every example i've seen when they're covered with ds it looks so perfect, how do you get to to look so nice? What kind of glue do you use? any techniques? any help on this would be appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Charissa
