Default MS LATTICE HEART PUNCH

:confused:I bought this punch yesterday and I am wondering how to get the punch out. I punched about 12 hearts and they came out of the punch as you would think they would. Well....now I don't see them nor can I see them in the punch itself. I know that it punched because I have the negative portion in the paper and the little pieces fall out. I just cannot seem to get the main part out. I have knocked the punch on the table, I have taken a paper piercer to search for it...but no luck. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how do you make it work>? Thanks for any help you may have.

Oh my goodness, YES!!! I punched one and couldn't find it. I assumed that I just lost it in the bag (I always test my punches as soon as I buy them). So I punched another one. Had the negative space but couldn't find the punch out. Tried again. Nada.

Finally I sat down with a paper piercer and a pair of tweezer bees for an HOUR and pried and pulled the paper out bit by tiny bit. When I was almost done, the punch closed up. I can't really explain it but it was like there was something keeping it open farther than it normally is and when I pried that piece of paper out, it let go.

Mine will now punch and I can get the heart. But only with thin PP; cardstock won't work at all. Which is really strange as I have the border punch that matches this punch and it will cut through cardstock like butter.

Anyway, start prying with a paper piercer and tweezers. Good luck. I was ready to pitch the thing in the trash and take the $11 loss on it. :(

thank you so much. I will now begin surgery. The problem is that I only see metal. I do not see any paper at all. I know that it cannot disappear but it has. I love the look of the heart and have $17 + tax invested in it. I am going to find the receipt now in case I return it tomorrow. By the way, I punch as soon as I get in the car! I get so excited that I cannot wait to get it home. Again, thanks for sharing.

Yes, I thought I could only see metal too. I used white paper to test it, so it sort of blended in with the silver. Look at the back of the punch. See the straight lines between the holes? That is where you will find the paper. When you get it all, you'll see black rubber. And around the edges too. I literally picked for an hour and I only had three to get out. With 12, I might just say to return it and get a new one.

Bummer since it's such a pretty design, I know.

okie dokie....I have been digging for 45 minutes and have gotten a little bit out but there are still a lot of hearts in there. As my Grandmother used to say, "That is too much sugar for a nickel!" It doesn't make sense to me but she would say it when something was aggravating her. Therefore, I will go back to M's tomorrow to trade it for another one. Just had to retrieve the bag, box and receipt from the trash. I usually hold on to everything and keep my tools in the original boxes. I am getting the Ikea Bygel rails next weekend so I decided to throw out the punch boxes...Anyway, thanks for the input but I may be "digging" for days to find the missing pieces.
