Default Michael's stamp scrubber/cleaner

I am new to this whole stampin craze. I wondered if anyone has used the stamp scrubber pad/liquid from Michael's as opposed to the SU scrubber? How does it compare?

I don't have a clue about the one in Ms but I have the SU! because people recc. it and I am SOOO happy with it. Its not too pricey, but I do understand you could probably get it for half the price, when using a Ms coupon. I like the fact that its black on the inside, because I don't always wash mine out after each stamping session. I do like SUs.

I bought the Michael's one first, thinking I could save some money. I thought it did a great job, until I got the SU one. I was lucky enough to find one at a yard sale for $5, otherwise I may never have bought one. But I will never go back to my Michael's one again. The SU one is bigger and the fibers stay so nice and soft, much longer than the M's one. I went through a lot of replacement pads before switching to the SU one. In the end, the M's one cost me a lot more! But this is just my opinion.

Before I got my SU scrubber I looked at the M's one. I think they only have the fibers on one side. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that was the big reason why I didn't get one.

Yes, the M's one only has a scrubber pad on one side. I bought one with a coupon thinking it would work just as good as the SU scrubber. WRONG! It's definitely worth spending the extra money and going with the SU scrubber.

The only one that I've found that is as nice as SU's is Technique Tuesday's. Not many places sell it though so it'll probably be in your best interest to get the SU one.

The SU one will last you forever. I still have the old white (of what used to be white) inserts. I actually prefer those because I can never tell with my black one when its time to clean it.

Yes! I bought the M's one... not a DOUBLE scrubber! I returned it! Bought a CTMH one.

I have had my SU one for almost 4 years now. After all of this time and yes it is heavily used, I am first now buying replacement pads. I am still going to keep my old ones though for my Staz-On or Bleach stamp cleaning.
I also have the TAC one. I do like that one as well. The bristles are longer on it. It works good as well. I stamp every night so I do have to have 2 of them as I use all different types of inks. I also use the old baby wipes to get as much ink off as I can before using the scrubber. It saves on cleaning it. I would be cleaning them everyday if I didn't use the wipes first as I hate it when I am cleaning my stamps and they end up blakish from the dirty pads.

I personally do not recommend the Michael's. I bought one with a coupon and for some reason I opened it when I got to the car. It is fuzzy and it sheds. I was wearing a black raincoat and I got fuzz all over when I ran my figures on the pad. I marched right back in and returned it. Usually I don't open my goodies till I get home and then I have to return it which is a hassle. Oh yeah, she wouldn't give me my coupon back!!!!

I have a question about the stamp scrubbers. How do you keep them from spattering? I seem to always get little spatters around the scrubber and have turned to either wet wipes or stamp cleaners and paper towels.

How often should you wash the SU scrubber pads? I've been stamping since July & have washed it twice.
