I like to put ribbon through both ends and use it sort of like a buckle. I just looked in my gallery and I don't have a sample there... darn. But I use two pieces of ribbon, put them through the top of the S and the bottom of the S and fasten the end back on itself with a glue dot. It looks very nice.

Tie ribbon at each end. This is one of my favorite ways to use them.
here's an example

since you're asking about the HPH...there's another piece that looks like a buckle with no middle (just a rectangular shape). What the heck do you do with that?

Are you talking about the piece that looks like a window? It is one. Frame a word or image that you want to stand out from the rest. Some of them are sized to fit punches for easier framing too.

Default hodgepodge hardware

I wish we had catagories for items like hodgepodge, punch, brayer, crimper. I think that would be way cool. I have been able to do a search and find them sometimes. I'm glad we have these threads, I learn so much. Thank you all. Janet

I'm so glad you asked that! I've had those adorable little clips hangin' around and didnt know what to do with them either! They 'looked' like they had a great purpose!

I guess it does kind of look like a window. The fact that two sides are higher than the opposite sides makes me think you're supposed to put something in it...I never thought to frame a word with it. Wish the tin came with some descriptions of the contents...thanks for the input!

I've used the curly s clips by clipping them onto the edge of a layer of card stock. It takes a bit of wrangling, and it helps to stick your tongue out a little bit, but it's very cute when it's done!

Good luck!

I think you are talking about one of the "buckles", because it's stored next to the buckles, and you are not talking about a frame that has two tabs with holes. Are you talking about this piece (see photo)?

I used this piece once, and evidently never took a photo. I searched and searched. I slid ribbon around both sides, the wide organdy that SU discontinued, and wrapped the ribbon around the back of the card. The buckle thing is so heavy though, that I had to use 2 glue dots to hold it in place on the card front. I'll did more and see if I cant find that card I did...
