anyone else having trouble with MS stamp around the page punches?
I just can't seem to get these to fit just right. Any helpful hints?
I've been stamping 10+ years so I'm not new to all these things, but I seem to definitively be SATP challenged. Help!
I only have one set. I'm assuming you mean the one with the border style punch and a separate corner punch. It didn't come out exactly even when I got to the corner, and I had to trim it a little with my scissors. It didn't look too bad, and I am sending the card anyway. But it wasn't as precise as I had hoped. Here is a pic of my card using it:
You're having problems because these punches require exact measurements to work. I didn't know that until after I bought a few and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong either. So.......it's not you. It's MS being a pain in the butt.
I have them..wish I never bought them. They sit in my stamping room never to be used again. I could not get them to work. I'm glad to hear it's just not me.

Once you realize you have to have exact measurements, they work like a dream! I could not stop making Valentine cards with my set I bought from HSN. They work perfect if you measure your paper correctly. I did not read the directions at the first and thought, why arent they working. Then I did a search on youtube and there is a great video showing exactly what to do, and it works just fine!
Here are the exact dimensions so that it works properly.
Lorraine, thank you for this. It's in my favorites now so I can use the punch correctly. It makes sense that you need precise measurements for this kind of punching, now that I think about it.
On my other border punches I just kind of eyeball, and turn the punch over to line it up when I punch. It's not a big deal if I end up a little "off" at the end. But with the corner punch in the mix, you do have to be exact.

I have a BUNCH of these!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!! The ones I have bought all have a measurement chart in the box with the punches. But I think it's only with the ones you buy as a set and not seperately.

As others said you need to follow the exact measurements. Then you need to punch all 4 corners FIRST before you do the border edges . I turn the border punches over to align them properly. They do have a learning curve

Please persevere with them, as they are a dream to use once you have got the hang of them.
I demonstrate these punches all over the country ( UK ) and I always tell my customers that they must use the measurements given in the pack and to cut the paper accurately.
I have a couple of sets. I do like them. Also, just because they ARE punch around the page, doesn't mean you have to! I often use just the corner punch or just the border punch.
