Lightbulb Storage for Stampin' Spots?

Do any of you have any clever ideas for Spot storage? I did a forum search, but I only came up with storage ideas for everything except the Spots! Thanks!

I've seen people keep them in floss boxes....
I use plastic, clamshell cases (like what SU stamps come in) for my Palette spots. I have 3 cases with 12 spots each. They fit great and work well for traveling.

I have kept mine in their original boxes and those fit nicely into a shoebox side bin along with my stazon pads I can just grab them, know I have all the colors together and go!

I use the SU clamshell boxes. You can fit two color families into the larger box (not the XL box, but the one that fits sets like Pretty Peony, So Much and the word sets like Amazing to Zany).

That is what I use also. Then I cut a piece of Whisper White to fit inside the top of the lid. I took each color of spot and using a small solid stamp, I stamped the image twice on it -- the second one being the second-generation (or "stamped off") There are some colors that I prefer lighter than the original inking would give me, plus I can see what effect I would get on background or shadowing of an image using that particular color.

That sounds like a nice project for me this weekend. Thanks for the idea.

I keep my spots in a clamshell case...one family per case.

Another vote for the SU clamshell boxes. these are so easy to put on a shelf with a label on the end to grab the right family when needed. I store all the die based and the craft spots like this.

I also use the clam-shell plastic containers from SU that Background stamps came in...Can store 2 sets in each. I also turn the containers up-side-down to store as this keeps ink on top of pad.

Original Box. It is just easier for me that way.

Where can you get the clam shell boxes now that they aren't in the catalog?

I also use the clam shell box. But I don't keep them in color families. I divided them all into particular colors and put all the reds together, all the blues together, etc. -- in alphabetic order. That's the way I store my cardstock too -- in hanging file folders, divided by color.

I bought a cute 8x8x8 3 draw unit at Target. Actually, my daughter had used them first to put her jewelry in by her sink.....and I nabbed them as she disgarded them. But I saw them at Target recently. I actually have 2 of the boxes. I keep all the stamping spots and the ink refill bottles in the six drawers. I arranged them alphabetically. There's enough space in each draw that I just kind of "throw" stuff back in when I'm done. It's all easy to see/find.

sorry....I just went and measured those cute little jewelry boxes....they are 6.5" cubes. They come in colored plastics, with these cute little minature white draw knobs...so cute!

I use those thick document storage cases...they hold 8.5" x 11" paper and they're a little over an inch thick. I finally found one that will hold all 48. I was going to put a sheet of cardstock on the front with all the colors on it so i could keep them organized but I haven't quite become as OCD as my mother yet  lol...here's a link to some like it at target so you'll know what I'm talking about...

I use fishing tackle boxes. My DH is a fisherman. They have many sizes, are translucent, and I have the SU spots in one, and the pigment cubes in another. Easy to grab and use, and store. Eileen

I use a hardware drawer thingy, the kind found in the hardware dept, commonly used to hold screws and stuff. It has 5 rows of 6 small drawers and 3 rows of 3 larger drawers. I have a plastic divider for each drawer. I can fit a spot & dauber in each space (that would be 2 each per drawer). I attach labels with the color name, family & a small solid stamped square of each color in the drawer, to the front. The 12 spots of each color family fit in each row.
