Default FOUND: Sharpie White Poster Pen

After looking in Walmart, Target, Michaels, and JoAnn's for the subject pen, I found it online.
I probably spent a small fortune on gas to check these places but didn't want to spend the $6+ to order it online.
Well- Discount Office Supplies had it and their shipping rate is a set $3.95 .
With gas costing about $3 a gallon, I figured I might as well go for it. While I was at it I found a few other items like: tape, and bubble envies.
So - it gets better...
I ordered yesterday and guess what shows up on my doorstep today..?!
Yep- the pens and tape. I'm guessing the envies ship from elsewhere.
That was a $3.95 well spent.
I guess it helps that I live in VA and the order shipped from MD.
Oh....the link:::

LOL, I've been searching for these also! I have read a couple people say they found them at Walmart... but I have looked everytime I go there and other places and haven't found them yet!

Thanks for posting!

If you are near a Hobby Lobby, they have them in the art supply department.

Just make sure they are the water-based version - there is another version that is oil-based.

They have them at www.joann.com. It's $3.29. I am in the free shipping club so that was even better than driving anywhere. Now I have to figure out what to do with it!!

I bought the fine point- it is the size of a regular sharpie marker. I guess it is all in preference. I prefer smaller over larger when coloring in.

I drooling for a White Sharpie. There are so few white pens that I have found that write well without skipping and Sharpie seems like the trick.

oh carp I got the oil based one - can anyone tell me why I needed the water based one? I tried them and they both looked and felt the same and were opaque.

Not sure, but the oil based could stain your paper.

Are the water-based Sharpie pens the kind that can be safely used directly on rubber stamps? TIA

For those of you o the West Coast. Treasury of Memories in Bellingham, Washington also sell them. Haven't seen them here yet but I traded in my Signo pen for one of these. They are awesome!

No, Sharpies are not waterbased and shouldn't be applied directly to your stamps. Sharpies are solvent ink based.

Thanks for responding to my question :-D I'm new to these paint markers, here's the one I was curious about (from the Sharpie website, I think I'm too new to link)

Sharpie Water-Based Paint Marker Fine
Acid free; Archival quality
Features and Benefits

* Water-based opaque, valve-action paint marker is great for scrapbooking, art projects, posters and signs
* Vibrant colors for light and dark surfaces
* Water and fade resistant ink will not bleed through heavyweight paper
* Acid free
* Archival quality
* Safe for use by children
* Available in 18 colors
* AP Certified

I thought it might work directly on stamps but was a little chicken to buy & try right off the bat LOL Thanks again for any input.

Shows what I know...I didn't even know Sharpie made water-based markers. Great find.

OK still confused, my Staples has white sharpies, alcohol based, are they OK . Not interested in applying to stamps, just for coloring in beards for Santa like in the card sample from above.

So should the white marker work on transparencies. I like to make the ornaments with snowmen in them and don't like embossing them. Should the markers work for this?

Also, what is the consensus - could you use these markers directly on rubber stamps?
