Default cuttlebug dies in sizzix

do the cuttlebug die cuts work in the regular sizzix machine?
I have the magnetic adapter but what else do I need to make the dies work with this system?

thanks

Your best bet is to try searching in this forum:

Forums at Splitcoaststampers

It's where tool talk threads can be found. And there are plenty on the Cuttlebug and all that it can do.

I have the sidekick one and the smaller dies and embossing folders from the cuttlebug fit in there. The wider ones do not.

Yes, the Sizzix machine will work with the dies if you use your adapter. The little ones will work in the Sizzix Sidekick, but the embossing folders are to large. I am having a ton of fun with my embossing folders, enjoy!

I treid using my Sizzix die cutter with one of the dies from the Cuttlebug and I had to really pull the lever down hard. I also wondered how often the Cuttlebug dies will be able to be used with the Sizzix machine before wearing out. I think I will stick with my Cuttlebug.

I should have said the smaller embossing folders work. The large ones do not fit. Sorry for giving inaccurate info.

This sounds like a newspaper headline - maybe for the obituaries

"Cuttlebug Dies in Sizzix"

Ms. Ima Cuttlebug, aged 87, died Tuesday in a rare Sizzix accident. Authorities are saying...

[OK, sorry, back to your regularly scheduled enabling!]

They're metal, they'll last forever. They are very similar to Quickutz dies and I had been using them for years in the Sizzix until I got my cuttlebug.
Cuttlebug dies are about the same thickness as Sizzlit small dies, so they should work in the Sizzix although I personally haven't tried it.
