Default Convert my Wood Mount to Clear

What's the best way to convert wood mount to clear mount? Adhesive? Foam? How do you stamp the picture and adhere it so you can "see through" the clear block and know where to position it?

Thanks, Andrea

Here's a technique I developed that does everything you ask and it's a lot less expensive than others I've seen. I have both video and photo tutorials.

Default Wood to Clear

I have been mounting my SU stamps on EZ mount for the past 4-5 years. These sets do not have images on the actual stamps but that has never been an issue for me. I LOVE the space savings but didn't like the added $$ expense of buying the EZ mount.
Then about 2 weeks ago I found the method listed above by SPeters "Stampsomefun"
Trust me.....this is the easiest, most inexpensive & effective method I have tried , and I have tried half a dozen over the years. The only thing you might have to buy would be the cling sheets, MUCH les expensive than the EZ Mount. And her method gives you the image on the back of the stamp just like the SU cling mount. Her tutorials both written and youtube are very clear and easy to understand.
Give it a shot and you will be convinced.

When I unmounted mine, I did what stampsomefun did also, but didn't use the vinyl.
I found that almost all of the labels on my SU stamps would peel off and I just stuck them to the stamp, trimmed and put some Aleene's tack it over and over on it.
They have worked perfectly.

This is how I did mine (a couple hundred at least). I think this is the least expensive out of all the unmounting options. A bottle of TIO&O will cost about $5-$6 and, like I said, I've done at least 200 - 300 stamps and still have some left in the bottle. You only need a very thin coating on the back.
