I seem to be a walking disaster when it comes to putting glitter on a card or scrapbook page. What is the best adhesive to use? I would like to beable to use all the glitter I have.
some use the 2-way glue pen, others use heat and stick powder. You can also use crytal effects but it would take some time to dry. If you want and over-all glitter effect and if you have a xyron, you can run it thru so the adhesive is on the printed side and then cover with glitter......looks really cool with dazzling diamonds.
Heat and bond powder is the answer. I find that the glitter falls off when I use the two way glue. For small spots, I use my versamark pen, then the heat and bond, then, of course, the glitter and it's stuck for good!! It works great. I recently bought heat and bond for the first time and I'll never be without it again.
I have used Zig 2 way glue pens for over 2 years, and it has worked great. I have never had glitter come off with the glue pen. I love my fine point glue pen, it puts just a drop of glue right where I want it. I have also used heat and stick powder and it works out ok for what I want it to do.

for an all-over effect, you can also use spray adhesive over your stamped image. the glitter will stay on there, but some will rub off to the touch.......I have found that the trick to spray adhesive is to get the right brand! i typically use 3M, but the last time I bought Elmer's. it was crap. the next day, ALL of the glitter just slid off my cards. 3M is the way to go.
My favorite glitter adhesive is Art Institute Designer Dries Clear Adhesive with the Ultrafine tip. It holds the glitter in place wonderfully and you can get a thick or a thin bead. It's also great for stained glass technique on transparency sheets. Plus it stays flexible so if you are using it on something dimensional it won't chip or flake off. I'm not a demo so I don't have to use SU supplies exclusively I can get it at my LSS.
