Default Clear Embossing Help

I joined a swap and will be using the Bundle of Joy set. I already finished a sample card, then thought of embossing the spots on the giraffe.

What is the difference between glassy glaze and clear detail powder? Which do you think would get the best effect for what I'm trying to do?

Here is a link to the effect I would like to get:

Can I just scribble over the spots with a versamark marker and then sprinkle on the powder and then use the heat tool? Do I need to do this several times?

Thanks in advance for all replies!

What about using crystal effects?

The glassy glaze is thick and doesn't cover as well unless you go over it a couple times (it will kind of bead up). The crystal clear ep will give you an all over embossing coverage but it's not really thick.

I think crystal effects would give you that look really easily. Maybe in the sample you reference it's the superglue that gives it the look your after.

I haven't seen the crystal effects but from the finished descriptions I've heard I think there's a comparable product at Archiver's. If you have one by you, it's called Glossy Accents by Inkssentials. I just did the Darling Details class the other night and we used it on all the cards...and of course I had to buy it! It gives a raised, clear, glossy finish. I haven't been to Joann lately to see if they have it or not. The tip is real small so you can dot it on for small details or fill in an entire section, very versatile. It's FABULOUS!
