I've used bleach two different ways, 1) as an ink pad 2) to paint on your cardstock. But I was talking to a customer tonight who wants to see bleach at her workshop. I've done bleach a few times at workshops, but she said that she saw a card where they used bleach to make snow on the roof of a house and on trees. She said it didn't look like it was done either way that I explained. She definitely knows that bleach was used, though. Does anyone know of any other techniques to use bleach?
Thanks!
Betsy
I have used bleach on a stamp - had mixed results as it is a "solid" stamp and it is so hard (for me) to control the amount of bleach. But i had a super result "edging" the CS with bleach - one way I did it was to use a cotton swab - which fell apart after a while. I had burgundy (nonSU) CS and it turned a lovely gold.
Could a swab be used on that roof?
I used a colorox bleach pen to "ink" my stamps. I found that it came out too fast and I had to use a second generation stamp on the actual card (after first stamping on scrap paper which ended up as a huge bleached blob). Came out cute that way on the tag.
I've used dishwasher detergent to do something like this. I've just stamped my image and then used my heat tool to dry it and it leaves a puffed up image. I've found that you have to use cascade with bleach detergent it works the best i think it is thicker than most. Not sure what else they would have used to make the snow but this. Good luck.

Lisa - do you use the dishwasher detergent to "ink" your stamp - or do you stamp in regular ink then paint the detergent on to the image? Sorry I did not quite get the idea. But it sounds like great result.
for Cascade, you use it like an ink pad. I dampen a paper towel first then spread the gel around. Don't get it too thick though.
It's neat, it gives it more texture than just bleach alone! hth
