Thanks for the great challenge. I did two. The first one qualifies. I am not sure about the 2nd one. I did use 2 colors of card stock and one is on top of the other (layers?) Anywho... here they are:
This card from my gallery fits the challenge. I actually made another card last night no layers, no embellishments, just ink and paper. There are certain environments, such as prisons, that don't accept anything else, so I actually will enjoy seeing the different ideas on here to get some new ones for myself for RAKs. This was hard to do!! I had to start over, and over. This the fourth attempt and I think it is still screaming to have some ribbon added. I masked the center with a square punched out to give it a little faux layer look.
My 11 year old granddaughter did this one -- we both messed up the first time, but hung in there. I'm rather proud of what she came up with on her own!
Beth, who in their right mind could hate a person with a sweet smile like yours! You did push us to our limit though:p !! Compared to some of the beauties uploaded mine is a real Plain Jane

Here is my card for todays challenge. I thought when I first read the challenge that this would be hard for me cause I am such an embellishment junkie. I found it wasn't hard at all. I like how this turned out. TFL Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Man! I made three cards and can't upload them! Comcast is down around here so I'm using DH's wireless. Hopefully, I'll get internet back on my computer soon. The last time this happened a few weeks ago, I was without internet for a whole day! Yikes!
I'm going to go look at all the other TLC cards while I wait patiently.
May card is complete. I really like it, it looks so old at least it does in real life. This was so fun I may have to clean up my mess and try another one! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
This is a great challenge. I struggle to come up with cards that are quick for stamp a stacks so it is great to see everyone's work on this. Here is a Tag Time version of a dry embossed SAS card I've used in the past. I've used the oak (or is it maple?) tree from Lovely Leaves for this card in the past.
Hope it was OK to use dry embossing. This is a card I teach beginners when we aren't messing with layers and buying all sorts of accessories.
Here's mine.......oh my was this ever difficult...........It took me forever to do this today! Whew, glad that challenge is over! Thanks Beth for continuing to stretch us in spite of our tantrums! LOL No Layers Friend

I kinda like this card! I think it needs something and should of masked the ballet blue layer before adding the chocolate, but ohh well what is done is done!
Thanks for the great challenge Beth! I was kind of freaking out when I read the challenge at first then realized I have the perfect card already made for it. I had this card sitting around for a couple of days now not knowing what exactly to do with it. Then I came across this challenge....no layers or embellishments.....seemed perfect for this card.

Oh gosh I haven't been able to do the daily challenges for about a month and wouldn't you know Beth comes up with a hard one the week I come back. I can do it, I know I can. Thanks Beth Great Challenge.
Wow.....a TLC on the 1st day. Thank you, thank you, thank you Beth for a quick and easy tech. I surprised myself by not doing my usual layering and embellishing. I sure did want to add a ribbon though, but refrained :-) Enjoy, Nancy
Here's mine. I was surprised how much i depend on layers.. my challenge card should be called "faux layers" lol.. I liked how it turned out though. i'll do more, me thinks.
This is gorgeous. Such talent you have. Beautiful colors.
