Default Layers Ease or Perfect Layers

I was wondering which one of these would be easier to use. My mom just started making cards and she complains that her matting stink LOL. So I thought one of these would be perfect for her

I just dont know which one to get It looks like layer ease would be easier to use.

TIA

I'd like to know too. Didn't think to ask my demo when I saw her last week. Was too busy drooling over the SAB sets and fighting off a migraine.

It depends what you want them for. If she wants them to do straight lines (i.e. layers for her cards) then you want the perfect layers as you get a perfect straight line and exact layers and you cut all in one step.

The layer ease you have to draw and then cut with scissors, so it's great for getting a nice even layer around unusually shaped pieces, but it's a pain to have to cut it out by hand afterwards (hence I don't use mine very much).

Hope that helps??

I have both. I rarely use the layer ease for the same reasons Stampin'_Kiwi listed. I use my perfect layers all the time. The trick is to secure the piece you want on top onto the piece you want to be the layer with tape, glue, or whatever you want to use. It's great!

Have fun!

Perfect Layer tool hands down. I love, love, love mine. I've seen threads on here about the layer ease being challenging to use and my upline as seconded that. Hope this helps.

Default perfect layers

I love my perfect layers set. Actually I am on my second set - used the other one till the "wires" came out. This is well worth having and I will get another set after my 2nd set goes....buy,buy, buy!!!

I just googled this Perfect Layers - I know I've seen something similar recently with metal edge instead of plastic. I'm trying to remember - maybe in Current, or Oriental Tradint Co scrapbooking cat.
