I just posted a thread tonight about a Houston Shoebox Swap. It's going to be on February 16, 2008. This is the 2nd one that LovinTX and I have hosted and for those that came to the last one, we're going to do just about the same thing as we did then. We'll take the first 45 signups and then have a waiting list. Hope some of you Texas girls can come.
I'm in Van Alstyne. What part of Grayson Co.are you in? I've been stamping just this last year when I joined a hostess club in McKinney. The SU Demonstrator used to be a counselor at the middle school I worked in in Plano, TX.
I worked in Plano ISD for over 24 years, and retired 3 1/2 years ago because of degenerative spine disease. I was a library assistant, and some of the work was too strenuous for my condition. Anyway, I worked long enough to draw my Teacher's Retirement.
Nov. 13 is the date for my knee replacement surgery. I'm getting ready to do lots of stamping while convalesing. I haven't decided on my Christmas cards yet, but I have 2 really neat sets to choose from. I may emboss everything this year. Last year I colored everything in with Classic Ink and those water painters. I did the Carolers--too ambitious for a beginner.
I have "A Gft From Heaven" and a discontinued Christmas tree to choose from this time, and I may buy the Holiday(?)Triptych from the Fall Winter Flyer because I really like it. I'm not sure I have the name or correct spelling either, but the book is far away in the other end of the house right now and I don't feel like walking down there to find out.
It's time to fix supper for DH. He wants Tacos and Burritos tonight.
I hope we can meet some day. PM me or e-mail: [email protected] if you live very close.

Hmmm.... tha sounds very interesting. Details pleeze.....
We just came back from doing an EMS conference there. I swore I would never go back there as a vendor, but as a buyer, well I could probably be convinced

I lived in Texas for the first 31 years of my life (except for 2 years in Utah going to college). I grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and then lived in Hurst, Texas (also in Tarrant County) after I got married. We moved about 10 years ago to San Diego, CA. I'm still Texan at heart!
I live in San Antonio! We moved here almost a year ago! I am originally from outside of Tyler Texas (east TX). My hubby was army so we traveled to a few places. But now we are here in SA to stay!!!

Hello! I am so new here! Well to Texas that is! I just moved here this past September. I LOVE it so far! I am in North Dallas. So cool to see so many stampers from Texas!
Welcome to Texas, Jen. I think you are going to love it here in Texas. We have lived here for 3 years now and can't imagine living anywhere else. I live in Flower Mound, not to far from you.

I live in the tiny town of Joshua, TX. Anyone ever heard of it? I was born in Alameda, California and moved to TX when I was 3 and have been here ever since. Grew up in Ft. Worth, moved to Texarkana (on the TX side) for about 9 years and have been in Joshua for 8yrs. I Love Texas!

Hi Sandi - I have friends who moved to Joshua a few years ago - they own an A/C service, so if yours needs work I'll bet they will be who you call!

I live north of DFW airport in Denton County. Howdy!
I am hoping that there's someone in the DFW area who could help me out on very short notice. I need to borrow Circus Train. It's retiring and my sister had ordered it, but it won't be here before we go on vacation Sunday. We need to make her DS#1's birthday invites while we are gone. Could we please borrow your set and return it to you on January 6th, 7th, or 8th?
I live 3 tenths of a mile from ReCollections ::sniffle:: I'm deeply saddened by their closing. Hahah, but ANYWAY --
I've lived all over the Metroplex -- North Richland Hills, Keller, Grapevine, Hewitt (outside of Waco) and went to highschool in Waxahachie. My folks still live there -- it's a nice 'lil place ... 2 scrapin' stores and plenty of great antique stores!

I love it here so far! I agree with your friend... MOVE TO EAGLE SPRINGS! Are you in Texas already? Is your friend a demo? I should send her a note and see if she wants to get together?

Hey to all the fellow North Texas gals!
I am going there today! I am sad too! For just moving here I am sad to see it go. Now I must find a new place. Any suggestions? I am in Frisco. I KNOW we are getting a NEW Hobby Lobby! but I need more places! hehe
Hello fellow Texans...I'm in Keller/Watauga area of Fort Worth. Seems over the past few years all my scrapbooking, stamping, cardmaking friends have gotten jobs and I have no-one to "play" with -lol! I'm still a stay-at-home-mom of 18yr old son (army soldier), 13 yr old daughter, and 9yr old daughter.
Born in Lubbock, grew up in Arlington, spent summers on a farm in Estelline, moved to Mansfield for a short stretch and have been in Grapevine for the past 11 years now.
I would LOVE to meet others in this area. Do you ever get together?
