STARK CONTRAST
I was off doing another challenge elsewhere and became aware that the page I was doing really contained a stark contrast-the desert and beautiful blue water! So, although my page fit the parameters for that challenge it also contained this--
So my challenge to you this week is to look for pics or papers or elements that contain a stark contrast-an oxymoron so to speak and scrap it-please explain how your piece exhibits this trait in your description when you post your pick
and have some fun doing it!!
Here is my example for you- A Place in Time by fresshe at Splitcoaststampers
For April and May your name will go in a drawing for a half moon alterable mini album-I will take a pic and post it soon
Make sure you add DGC024 to your keywords (additional keywords are OK, just separate them with commas), and PLEASE post a link here in this thread; we would NOT want to miss it! Also, if you aren't a FAN CLUB member, please observe the NO UPLOAD on SUNDAY rule!
You can find all submissions for this challenge here: DGC024
SBC's Information Thread: Everything you need to know to participate!
If you have any questions please feel free to contact any member of the SBCT (ScrapBook Challenge Team) via pm or simply post in this thread

Like two things that you would not normally think would go together or somehow seems out of place-like a beautitul blue river in the middle of a rugged desert or like an Amish person in downtown New York or nuns at a show in Las Vegas or a page with black and white or any other sharp contrast--hmm see if that gives you anywhere to go-doesnt have to be the pics-but I am sure that we all have some that seems like some of the elements are out of place-it could just be the paper or elements you choose to use

My stark contrast is not only the black and pink paper but My DS and his girlfriend.....totally opposite, I guess the old saying is true and I hope this counts.

Thanks, Valerie. I love your examples--I don't think I have anything that's as interesting as a nun in Vegas or an Amish in NYC, but I believe I've got something that will work. Sounds like the teacher is coming out in you a wee bit!
I couldn't put together anything until I remembered these pictures I have. They are pictures captured from a web cam in Glacier National Park. I remember that I saw them on the morning of my birthday last year and thought to myself that it must be that I should see them on my birthday, a sort of present to myself. I love to go to the National Park websites to look at the webcams. I am also going to put the layout in the "tree challenge".

I'm frustrated. I had a page almost finished for this challenge and my computer shut down my PSE7 program for no apparent reason and I lost my page which, unfortunately I hadn't saved or named yet. So, it will be back to the drawing board...hopefully tonight.

UGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I actually thought of that happening today and saved my project...wow...maybe telepathy...HOW FRUSTRATING:twisted:
Haven't been feeling well today so I've been laying around doing digi. I'm now watching Oprah on the teen sex talk...wanting to cry because these children are only a year older than my DD1...just not ready to go there (although I will be soon which is why I'm watching)...***HUGE SIGH***
Okay, here's my page and it fulfilled a few challenges. Feeling pretty good about it:

Oh-bummer! I would hate that-I try to save when I get the pics on the page-that seems to be the way I start-totally awful:(
