Blog Member Guidelines
1. Post to your own blog at least once per week and if you can't, leave a message in this thread so that we know what is going on.
2. Post to EACH members blog at least twice a month, to our group page here and also participate in our group challenges at least half the time. Many of us leave multiple comments because we like what we see on our Sistah's blogs. That is up to you. You are not expected to leave comments while on vacation but many folks make the rounds and catch up when they return and leave comments anyway. It's up to you.
3.Post each member on the side bar of your blog under our Designing D.I.V.A.S. name. Placing this list towards the top is better than at the very bottom of your side bar.
4. Blog challenges are not mandatory but we love it when you can participate!
5. Subscribe to this thread and our challenge thread so that you stay in the loop!
6. If you are unable to fulfill your obligation to visit EACH blog per week, then gracefully bow out and let someone else have your spot.

Many of us are getting to know one another and we like this group. We have many common interests although our creative styles are very different. We also welcome new people to take the old spots. If you look at our blogs as a whole and you like what you see then we are probably a good fit for you.

SUBSCRIBING TO A THREAD:
If you go to the first post here in our group thread, it has the updated group blog list. Also, while your there, if you click on the tab above the post box to the right that says THREAD TOOLS, you'll see a drop down menu. There, you will see the option to subscribe to the thread. When you click on it, a new box will open. CHANGE THE OPTION to INSTANT EMAIL NOTIFICATION. That way, every time a post is made to the thread or updated, you'll receive a notification. They truncate the messages so, you'll only get like one post for that day and the rest, you'll have to read when you get to the thread. Subscribe to this thread HERE too if you want to participate in the challenges
.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay ladies Here is how SS works (:
1. Everyone from the group can participate and can be put on the list to participate in the SS challenge. It is optional.

2. We will PM each of the participants with your SS's information. I will let you know what information you will send to me.

3.The first of 6 challenges will be posted on the SS thread. It will be like the challenges we do all the time, but all spiced up for fun!

4. A fun challenge will be posted each Monday to be completed that week (or at least before you have to mail it, LOL)

5. We will will have one week to mail our items to our SS after the sixth week.
Just remember to check the SS thread for each week's challenges and I will post the list as we go on my Blog as well. So, Monday you will be PM your Secret Sister's name and information from Sara and I. The first challenge will be posted the following Monday. This gives us a week to chat about our likes and dislikes on here before we have to start.
Here is what you should send to me in a PM:
Full Name
SCS Name
Address
Email
What are your favorite things

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Carmen, I finally finished your quote/verse challenge. It's posted on my blog. Took me long enough! I'm eventually going to get to the others.. I know jennifer has one and I'm going to go back and search through the old threads to find the rest. Paula has one coming up on the 22nd I think.

Sophisticated is good. Are there any other ideas?

I have my challenge card for Jennifer finished but have to take a pic and find time to post again!
Yes Sue, I host the challenge after Jennifer. Do I have you wondering yet? I'll blog about it in time for people to try this technique so that they can use it on their challenge card. Do you have the supplies you'll need for that one if you have the chance to participate or shall I send you what you will need?

Those of you who I am sending material too, please don't spill the beans yet. If you want to make comments on the thread when you receive it that's fine but don't let the cat out of the bag just yet! Shhh...Mums the word.
Later Design DIVAS!

Stampers?
Sistahs?

that's about as creative as I can get tonight.

Paula, yes I have been to the Scrapbook store in Gatlinburg. We have to go every time we are in the area. That's the first store like that my husband had ever been too. He was amazed at the men's waiting area and even more amazed that some people he met there had planned their vacation around visiting that store!

I also vote for Sistahs! love that one!

also a little note for Paula ~
yes, I have tons of stamps, almost too many to count!
but the stamps I have been using from Stamps Happen are some that they sent me to play with after the head of the corp. saw my work. He wanted me to showcase their stamps on my blog. A wonderful woman from the company has been my contact with them, and she is great to work with. and yes, you coulda knocked me over with a feather when that happened. totally made my day, week, month, pretty much year, decade, etc. when I got that email!

Gina, That's too funny about your hubby. Was he dumbfounded? Hey at least they have a comfy place to wait while the ladies shop till they drop! I like to stop in there when I am down that way. It is always worth the trip and I never leave empty handed.

It was pretty funny. He is great though, so far every vacation we have gone on, he looks for a stamp of scrap store and if it is within driving distance, we will go. I don't think he would go so far as to plan a vacation around me going shopping though. Leaving empty handed has never been an issue for me either!

Well ladies I have been getting some spam comments on my blog so I had to resort to adding the dreaded extra security step when making comments. Sorry!

that is really stinky that y'all are having problems with spam comments. I have only had that happen once before, which makes me glad that I have the comment moderation set.

Since my eyes are so bad, those security settings are really tough on me. Many times I have to have my boys come over and read them for me. oh the joys of neurological problems! makes me thankful EVERY DAY for the stamping that I can do.

all of you have a very blessed Easter! love to each of you!!!! <3

Don't feel bad Jennifer. We can't hardly read them either. Sometimes I have to click though 2 or 3 before I get one I can read.

I am going through my stamps and am looking to sell some off but I have some questions for those House Mouse people that are in the know. I have several stamps that are still made today and sold with a color label on them but the ones I have are all black sketches on the wood block and are from Stampa Rosa Co. in CA. Are these worth more than the same image sold new today?
Sara I hope you and your Mom have a blast!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Hey Sue, would you mind posting a sticky at the top of this thread with the members names and web link and another under it with the dates that each member hosts a challenge? That way we can have everything in one place and know where to look about the challenges.

Carmen, I was surfing the web today and came across this web site and thought of you http://www.allthingscupcake.com/
Anyone who is a cupcake fan may want to visit!

Heeheehee...that is so me too with chocolate...LOL I have Firefox and you can install an add-on to your browser called Smiley Xtra 4. It's great b/c all you have to do is click on the name of the particular smiley you want ( you can even search through different categories) and then hit the correct coding button for it at the top of the box and it will automatically insert the smiley into the text box. Phew...now THAT was a long explanation...LOL

Your welcome. That was really a good idea to do that. That way, it's at the first post of the thread and can be referred to as needed.
