I wasn't sure if you all would mind or not if I posted this, but I'm awfully proud.
My daughter, age 11, did a 4H demonstration last week that she called "So Stylish Stamping". In the demonstration she showed how to care for your stamps, how to do basic stamping, how to stamp with markers, and how to stamp with bleach. She won Grand Champion at that competition. Today she represented our district at the area level and received a blue ribbon. She was kind of disappointed that she didn't win champion again, but I keep telling her that she did a VERY GOOD job and should be awfully proud of herself.
(I think I have a future stamper and crafter on my hands!:-D)
What a great story to share! Many of us have DD's and we share your happiness, especially since she received her accolades for a stamping project. Woo Hoo! If you have any photos to share of her project we would love to see them. Tell her we are all proud of her.

Congratulations from down under. I am not sure what a 4H demo is but i am guessing it is a presentation competition and your daughter one it at the age of 11.
Please let DD know that the 43 year old cheese from australia has only just learnt how to stamp with markers and that i have no idea how to stamp with bleach, so she is at least 30 ahead of her time. And that i am so impressed that i hope my DD aged 6 can only inspire to acheive the same.
good luck and keep up the good work.
ps, proud of you too, if it were my daughter i too would brag the roof off.
Ah -4 H! I was Home Ec and a 4-H sponsor one year. If she is that good and likes children, maybe she has a career teaching. Those skills are so desperately needed in the field. I loved teaching Home Ec--oh sorry Family Science--for 30 years. I got to incorporate stamping and scrap booking into many a lesson plan.
