I love the layout of the new catty, and there are lots of cute samples. I, too, was underwhelmed. I know they can't please everyone, but I found 5 sets I'm interested in. Usually with a new catty, I have a couple of dozen. I am really upset about the 12x12 paper. Another thing I don't understand is why they removed many of the cartridges that matched the 12x12 papers they kept. I can buy the paper but not the cartridges. It makes no sense to me!
I am in the Seattle Eastside area and we STILL don't have our catty's! I am going out of town on Sunday and I really would like to have mine before I leave....you would think they would have them all out by the time July 1 rolls around, right??
The paper and cartridge removal is strange and puzzling. As for the lack of wedding and girl sets, my only thoughts were that maybe this "Fall/Winter" catty has a more earth tone/vintagely feel to it, and the Spring/Summer will have more bright colors, "cutesy" sets, etc...Although, even as I say that, there's a lot of doodles, scribbles, sketches, etc...At first I was a bit underwhelmed, but it really has grown on me. There are some sets in the new catty that I can imagine using for YEARS - they are timeless. The accessories are by far the best!!

Got my catalog today from my demo, and the accessories section is very very very good. There are many punches that must be purchased, and there are several sets which also have made my "wish list".

Got my catty last night and have to say that at least I won't be spending a ton of $$$! I really didn't see a whole lot that I liked, and most sets that I did like were in the $12.95-14.95 range. I LOVE the new ribbons, and the textured CS and all the neat new patterned paper, but I have SO much PP that it's not something I have to buy right away, so....a $$$ saver that way. I don't really care for the double-line doodle look or the abstract shape stuff ala Baroque (seen cute cards made with them....but just not for me!) so I'm hoping they have some other stuff to offer in the next catalog 6 months from now. Can't wait to see what TAC has to offer, hopefully something I like better!
I, too, am disappointed in the new stamp sets - there are only about 5 that interest me at all. I don't like the line drawings, and there are way too many cutsie & cartoonish sets. I do, however, love the examples that are shown - they are absolutely beautiful, even though I don't like the sets. I also like the sports sets - I think they will be a big hit.
Thank you, I do feel validated and a bit better now. I will be ordering accessories too, and the one sleigh ride Christmas set.
"Underwhelmed"~~the exact description!
Maybe I just already have too many sets? I have the old Sleigh Ride set which is a bit bigger, otherwise that one would appeal to me. I hope I haven't hit my limit!!! I just made an addict out of my friend, and she love swirly whirly stuff, she'll think this catty was made for her, so that makes me happy.

I was hoping for more Christmas sets than there was. But, i love all of the paper and ribbon ,especially to match the"IN Colors" .The halloween sets were really cute along with the baroque sets.
I got my catalog. Thanks to some help here, I was able to stalk the UPS site and called my demo/friend to tell her when they were to arrive. Within minutes of getting it we were both on the road. We met half-way and just had to flip through it together - on the side of the road. I'm sure we made quite a sight!! My demo is great. I think that there is actually something for everyone in this catalog. Some cutesy, some classic, artsy, animals, sports, etc. I keep thinking that I have about every type of set that I could need. They keep coming up with more. Put twists on things that make them new. Wow!
As far as Christmas sets... isn't there suppose to be a holiday catalog??
I was hoping there would be more Christmas sets as well. I'm hoping that the Winter mini will have some. I do like the accessories and the new colours. I may have to invest in them. Lil

I just got my catalog this afternoon! I've only been through it once, and haven't started my wish list yet. However, I definitely agree about the accessories! I love how it's laid out this time. I love a ton of the designer paper! I think I could spend over $100 just in that section! I have lots of the punches already, but I'm sure that I'll be getting the scallop punch. I love the flower punches as well! That box of embellishments - I think it is called Paper Pretties?- is a must have!!!
In Germany, that will be 8pm, so I believe that for the UK, you would be looking at around 7 pm? It is going to be a long day I think
Amber
Thanks for that Amber. I tried a couple of times this afternoon and again at about 9.30pm and the catalogue is now up.
There are a few things I like and some I don't, but I expect it will grow on me. I wasn't very keen on last year's catalogue to start with, but as someone has previously mentioned, once you see more samples you can see the potential.
I do like the concept of the 'In Colors' and think they're great.
Hope you're pleased with what you see!

Can anyone tell me if On Walkabout made it. I love the sets that are realistic with a lot of detail so are there many sets like that?
I see it in the online catalog, but only in Australia. I wish those of us in America weren't limited to our own wildlife! I was lucky enough to buy In the Outback at auction, but my quest for On Walkabout appears to have only begun.
