As some of you stalkers are aware a few weeks ago Stargirl (Carla) was telling us about winnning a box of stamps & in that box was several old, outdated styles of stamps. She threw out a challenge to the stalkers (who were stalking that night) to re-make the old images in todays updated style and invited anyone that wanted to play along to PM her.
The contestants are now choosen and should have received their stamped images in the mail from Carla. Contestants if you haven't received yours please PM Carla and let her know that. Contestants may now begin to play (if you haven't already, we're slow, we're both new this)
The rules are:
Use the image sent to you from Carla as the focal point of your card.
Use new & updated supplies and styles with this image
Post your card in your gallery using this keyword: ODS001 (if you've already posted your card, please edit this keyword so that we can all find them)
Use any embellishments/colors/layouts/etc that you choose.
Your card must be in the gallery by May 15th in order to be considered for the prize (to be unveiled shortly)
HAVE FUN, that's all this was ever intended to be!!!
Got my images too and now that No. Texas swap is history I'll get started on this! I got two of the same image...does this mean make two different cards or is one an *in case of booboo?*

I got my images 2 days ago. Haven't had a chance to play with them yet since I got really sick Friday night. But, I'm taking tomorrow off to recup so we'll see what I can come up with!
Carla and Patty, got your note and my images. Still getting over a migraine so I will probably start working on mine tommorrow. This is going to be so fun! Yippee Skippee!

got it... got my images... not too bad star.. atleast something to work with.... Is the object to make a great card or an ugly card with this image... What does the winning card have to possess? Does that make any sense? Let me know please so I can start on it today.... Thank you so much for including me in this great challenge

You are to make something as attractive as possible under the circumstances. We have no idea how we will choose winners. This is purely for fun, so any opinions are welcomed!
I got some awesome WishRak goodies today, hopefully I can use them in my card! But I don't get to do any playing until DS and I get his College enrollment stuff done!
Nope, not yet, but I have an idea. Can we make two cards, one with each image, or should we just do the one for the contest?
Carla, I am excited about VSN!! You could just give us a teeny tiny hint bc. we're so special, couldn't you? ;) I love VSN, and I'm doubly determined to do it this time since I didn't win a single stinkin' thing last time dang it!!
For some reason I had the hardest time with the vacation/travel theme and I have no idea why---I hope I'm not losing my mojo!! I'm so ready to get busy with VSN just to prove to myself that I can still stamp an original idea, lol!!

I was hoping to work on this tonight, but I have an awards banquet for two of my three kids so I don't know what time we'll get home. Also I'm leaving Friday to go camping and won't be back till Sunday. I feel like I haven't stalked in forever, I know I haven't had time to do any challenges. I have a feeling this next month is going to be very hectic for me due to all the "year end" things at school:rolleyes:
I almost forgot about this. I was cleaning off my stamp desk and came across the card with the images in it that Carla had sent. I guess I should have stamped this week and I would have gotten to this sooner. Here is my card. TFL Outdated Angel by tggrfriend at Splitcoaststampers
Well.. After long hard thinking, I have finally finished my Ugly card. Read my description for all the tedious details surrounding my card.. I am particularly fond of the "hair" I made... I hope you all like it.. I had fun making it... TFL
Oops, I had put my card on SCS several days ago and went to look at it this morning, no thumbnail. Hopefully that's fixed and you can see her here! I'm lovin' the new updated angel you all have done!
