My colors are scanning more in the blues than lavendars. I've got to learn photoshop so that I can get accurate hues. Here's my challenge card for today:
I'm fairly new to stamping and have a quick question for you. I would love to participate in a few of the color challanges. Obviously I have to use the colors selected but my questions is.. do I have to use the selected colors in both the paper and ink, or can I use non SU paper but use SU's ink? Also can embellishments be used or is this stricly stamps and paper. Thank you for your help.
Hi: You had a quick question, sorry the answer didn't come more quickly. These challenge threads are much busier in the mornings while everyone is waiting for the challenge -- I'm sure you'd have gotten an answer right away earlier in the day.
Anyway, you can do whatever -- the idea is to get us doing something -- if you have the proper colors of paper and ink, then yes, use them, but if you don't, you can make substitutions as closely as you can. It doesn't matter what brand they are. And yes, you can use embellishments, ribbons, etc. You can really do whatever you want -- it is your card that you get left with -- it is just a fun way to get us moving and doing something and to try out new things -- such as new color combos here, new sketches tomorrow, etc. Then it is really fun to go and see what everybody did -- it is amazing the differences -- just use what you have, dig in, and try -- then let us all see. Once you upload your card, making sure you use the proper coding in the keywords (like this is CC75), then copy the link to your card and come back to this thread and let us know you've uploaded your 1st challenge card and then we'll all go and look at it!!! Fun, fun, fun!!!! Welcome!!! I'll be looking --
Here's mine. I enjoyed coloring with reinkers on the shimmery white cardstock. I have to say that Vintage Violet is not my most favorite color but I do like this simple scene with the Sage Shadow and Creamy Caramel.
All day long I've been wanting to get to this. Finally had time this evening! Thanks for looking . . . be prepared to think it's cute . . . especially if you like baby ballerinas!
My 3 grandchildren, I love being a Grandma! My profile picture is a 5 generations picture with my granddaughter. I'm the one in the pink. lol (Back Right) Too fun.

Emily - Thanks so much for this great challenge. It is so good to be back in the swing of thing again. Enough vacationing. I didn't have any vintage violet so I used Perfect Plum. Not real wild about the colors but I guess they work.

Thanks for the challenge! I'm a bit late because I could not get my head around these colors.. not sure how I feel about VV.. but it really works well as an accent color
Okay, here is my creation...I had all the cardstock colours. But, needed to substitute elegent eggplant for ink and antique linen distressing ink for creamy caramel ink. This was my first time using my new stamp set...love it!
I don't have the new in colors yet so I have been checking out everyone else's creations and I just have to say WOW! The results from this color challenge may be my favorite ever!
I think this is my first Color Combo Challenge. I'm excited that I could actually play! I needed a card for my grandma's birthday and I wanted to use the new In Color line, so thanks Emily for this color combo!

I had to make cards for a swap I am participating in and had no inspiration. It had been a while since I participated in a challenge. So knowing that I had to get this swap done, I said. Ok I am going to use whatevr CC there is this week and make my cards and get it out of the way. So that is what I did.. Then to my amazement, once I had the CS out.. I WAS INSPIRED. So this is what I came up with. THANK YOU FOR GETTING ME OUT OF MY SLUMP! Now if I can only figure out waht to do with my SERENE SUNFLOWER set.. I will be all set! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks Emily for another Challenging Color Combo. I really liked the SS and VV together. I used a little CC ink when I watercolored and then used taupe grosgrain to add more of the C. Caramel effect. I also combined with SC85. I really like the results. Enjoy, Nancy
I am really excited about doing these challeges now that I figured them out it makes me use my own imagination. Thanks a bunch Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
