Haven't ever tried this technique before but when I saw it and how soft the cards are, I knew what I wanted to do. One of my dearest friend's mother is dying of Alzheimers and is in the very last stages now. It will be too difficult to make her a card when I actually need it so am trying to make a few now that I can choose from when the time comes.
I've ben wanting to try this but didn't really "get" how...silly me, it's very simple!! Great challenge Beth! Here's my card (pending approval as of 1:00pm CT):
Free at last...free at last...the house guests are gone! Hope to get some time this evening. And break open my never used pastels! Thanks for the challenge.
I've been having problems with uploading today. I've done this one about 5 times, so hopefully, this time it's actually there. Here's my blue & purple spring friend.
Looks like I am in the minority around here, this is my least favorite technique. I decided to give it another try, it hasn't improved it's rating with me! LOL
I stalk this thread every week, gawking over everyone's beautiful creations, and thought that this week I would actually post. I have a poppin' pastels card in my gallery already, so this is kind of cheatin' I guess, but I haven't had time to sit and create anything today.
I stamped, I stamped, I stamped! It has been forever since I have been able to sit down and just stamp for fun. It's not a great card or anything and the kids destroyed the house while I was stamping, but it felt good to get ink on me. :-D Thanks for looking.

I combined this challenge with Inspiration Challenge #19 for this one. I'm thinking this might have been better with a smaller punch for the pigs but they just barely fit using this one. I also got a new oval punch this weekend and couldn't wait to use it. I think the tags out of ovals will be something I use a lot.
Valerie, I'm with you...so we are in it together. The big difference is that your card looks GREAT!!!
Kittie, you and Valerie are so funny! You both have gorgeous cards. Make some more cards of your least favorite technique for us and let us judge. I'm going to give this a try tomorrow.
Emily, you have kids, don't you have sidewalk chalks?? what about eye shadow? Both of these work.
I have pastels and chalk, but I love the shimmery eyeshadow idea. Seems like a great way to get the pearl ex look without the mess. I may have to try it.

This is a great challenge! I did this technique last Thurs. in my first stamp camp, and was inspired to change the coloring of the daisy by some of the more artistic ladies that came that night. I used craft white ink instead of versamark, too.
This is a fun technique. With my not so great eyesight, just seeing the versamark stamped image on white card stock was a challenge in itself for me. Trying to get the right color of pastels on the parts of the image that I wanted them on added to the challenge. Here is the results.... Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
