When I first purchased mine, it was kinda tight. But now it turns a bit smoother. And yes, it doesn't spin freely. I would be afraid to spin it if it spun more than it does!

I use the cutter bee tools. I don't have one of those paper cutters with a score blade. I use the cutter bee score tool and run it on the groove of my paper trimmer keeping the score lines straight.

I give them away as sets for gifts. For example, I'll have 2 birthdays, 2 graduation congrats, 2 thank yous, 2 sympathy and 2 baby congrats. Like others I put a label on the back for all to see. :P
