I have no experience with the caddy, but have you turned it over to see if a piece of packing material may have lodged in the mechanism or possibly a piece of tape is holding it?

First, the color caddy is made to turn, not really spin. There is a difference. It is not supposed to be a smooth spin because then it could get out of control and throw out your ink pads, refills, and whatever you store on the top.

Having said that, if it doesn't turn, there may be a problem. One thing is that you need to have it the different sides evenly weighted with ink pads. So, if you don't have all of the ink pad slots filled, move a few pads to other sides to distribute the weight more evenly. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

If not, contact your demonstrator, and she can call SU for you and see about getting a replacement.

It should rotate easily but not "spin."

First make sure you didn't tighten the silver handle on top too much. Maybe back it off a clip and see if that helps.

Let me know how that goes....

I mean, when you push on it, it should turn without you feeling it's stuck. But it will only turn as long as you push it. Make sense?

When I first purchased mine, it was kinda tight. But now it turns a bit smoother. And yes, it doesn't spin freely. I would be afraid to spin it if it spun more than it does!

I have a caddy and was not happy with the way it turns and it seems a bit wobbly so I bought a small Rubbermaid lazy susan and put underneath the caddy with double stick tape. Turns smooth and easy now. Good luck!!!
