Can you believe this is our 8th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2015 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2016! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2015! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2015 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc16jan"

Wow another scrapping year gone by. I fell 4 short of my YTD for 2015, 116/120 so I am going to have a goal of 124 this year. My monthly goal for January will be 10.
Happy New Year to all.
YTD for 2015 - 116

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
My ending total for 2015 was 75, my new goal for 2016 is going to be 100!
Some of you have been asking what my weekly line-up is going to be for the 2016 year... Here you go, I also posted it on my Facebook page.
I love the first day of a New Year. My heart is always so full of last years blessings and my mind is whirling with all the new possibilities of what the new year will bring. Here on Facebook I know many of us focus on new goals and resolutions, many of which or soon and often broken within the first month of the new year... This year I am planning to keep mine simple and family based. Here are a few thoughts I had for my new year....
1. SCRIPTURE SUNDAY ~ since we are studying the Book Of Mormon this year, I have decided to take the Book Of Mormon 365 challenge. (link found here on Facebook)
2. MAKEOVER MONDAY ~ living and spending time here among the natives in the Canyon has given me a new appreciation for the land and preserving the world around us. My focus is going to be "recycle, reclaim & reuse" ( link can be found among my Pinterest boards)
3. TUSDAYS WITH DORIE ~ we are still cooking up a storm with Dorie Greenspan and Julia Childs. Come join us for a year of yummy recipes... (link can be found at www.tuesdayswithdorie.wordpress.com)
4. WORKDESK WEDNESDAY ~ because we are a nosy group of crafters we like to see what is on each other's Workdesk, messy or clean we don't care, we only snoop at each other to see what our newest creations are. (Link can be found at Stamping Ground)
5. THROWBACK THURSDAY ~ This year my focus is going to be Family History and Genealogy. I have been doing genealogy for close to 40 years and I have lots to share and gaps to fill... (Link to family stories can be found at The Gathering Place!)
6. FRUITFUL FRIDAY ~ I love to fill my world with history, travel and tradional cultures. Fridays are my day to study, experiment and add to my databases. So check back often for new info and links every week. (Links will be random and newly posted each week)
7. SUPER SATURDAY ~ All about the Home Decor and homemade goodies that I either pass along or add to my vignettes and collections. This year, since we hold so many parties and socials here at the house, my plan is to do some monthly theme style decorating. ( link can be found Annie's Pantry)
I am am so excited for the new year and look forward to spending it with all of you... 😀
I have also decided that I want to spend more time on mixed media projects and Art Journaling. Here is my first project for the new year...
2015 total was 93. I am setting my goal for 2016 at 100 pages. For January I am aiming for 12 pages. I have a new great grand coming in April ads will spend a good part of that month back in Virginia. And, then, I will need to find a new name for Tiny Tot - lol

It's hard to believe it's been 8 years already. I looked back at my gallery to see when I started to scrap and it was in oct 2008 so it must have been near the end of that first year you guys started this forum..wow! This past year hasn't been a very productive one for scrapping or taking pictures even! I recently took a picture of DGS foot with a small footprint my one sister-in-law did of his foot when he was only 6 months old. I almost rolled on the floor laughing when you compare the 2 now. I think his big toe is almost bigger than his whole foot was back then! lol! Definitely a page to be scrapped
Hi ladies. Happy new year to everyone, and wishing you many wonderful memories in 2016 plus time enough to scrapbook them! I just posted the first scrapbook sketch for 2016, so feel free to check it out and play along. I'm off to check out VSBN.
It only took about an hour but would have been quicker had I remembered how to do some of the things in Photoshop Elements. I had to google how to "get marching ants" in order to outline the little picture to highlight it. So many little things I forgot how to do.
My goals for 2016 will be 100 pages and 75 cards! For 2015 I completed 125 pages and 76 cards (most of which I did in December for Christmas)! Someday I'll get them posted!

BTW, my total for 2015 was 59 layouts, so I'm going with the same goal as last year: 52. I can do one layout a week most months, and I figure I'll be ahead on other months, so it will all balance out to 52ish by the end of the year.
I am planning on doing pages to follow the renovations of our new property over the next several weeks until we move in to it. We finally got heat into the building last week just in time for the cold snap we are now getting.
Happy New Year!! I have been thinking about my possible goals the last few days and how I want to spend 2016...
I finally settled on a scrapbooking goal today, AND thanks to Walgreens coupon code, I printed 264 photos today. Holy cow...! I should have my December Daily album finished in a few days, and then I hope to create another Project Life album of our family vacation from 2015 after that.
I started my December Daily album, and shared it on my blog HERE if you're interested.
In 2015 I completed 94 pages, including calendars. So in 2016 I am going to push for 150 pages, NOT including calendars. We'll see how it goes. ;)
In 2015 I also completed 299 cards (haha...) and I mailed 178 of them, but I don't set a goal for cards. I just play as I have time and need blog posts.
With all the good TV (Hallmark Movies, Football and Parades) plus Vacation, I've spent a lot of time in my Scrap Room getting pages completed ... it's good!
Couple more on my desk tonight that just need to be secured, off to a good start.
As for scrapping goals, this is the first year I've not had one before the New Year. I'm sure once I really think about my schedule and what events I have coming up, I'll come up with one, LOL
So fun to see everyone's posts ....

Morning! I was reviewing the page I posted last night and next to it was a really gorgeous picture of Crater Lake posted that caught my eye so I clicked on the page. Boy, this poster has beautiful digital pages. She's been posting since September and there is not too many comments on her pages...check it out and leave some love if you get the chance.
Kind of plain but after this page, I can start to get more creative since it will now be the renovation pages to be done.
This will probably be it for a while since the holidays are now over and work has to start again tomorrow. :( I've enjoyed my time off. DGS has had a wrestling tournament and was out at other family get togethers so I've baked cookies and banana bread and I've enjoyed getting to sleep in too and doing lots of reading! The only down side has been that it's finally gotten cold so I didn't do outside work like I was hoping to.
Happy 2016!!! I do have a scrappy goal this year...to just do it! ;-) There is a scrapbook group that gets together and they have crops each month. My goal is to either attend their crop or at least crop that weekend even if it's from my own house! I'm not going to put up a number goal for pages but rather I want to scrap 12 weekends this year.
I hope you are all doing well! My real estate business is heading in the right direction and I'm hoping that continues (if you know anyone looking to buy/sell/or invest in FL ~ give me a call: 321-27-9812, lol!). I'm excited to have a scrappy goal and I hope to get back to being a bit more active in the threads. Not sure if we are doing word of the year but mine is STRONG this year. Can't wait to 'hear'/read how everything is going with all of you!
Good luck all with your goals! I don't participate on a regular basis at all, but when i do stop in everyone is always so inspirational!
My goal for 2016 is not going to be a set number of pages. Instead, I am going to revisit all my earlier scrapbooks and check for the following:
1) Do I need a better quality scrapbook? (I love CTMH scrapbooks and I'm disappointed that they only offer black for a solid color)
2) Are all the pages in page protectors?
3) Did I complete my journaling? (This is gonna kill me because the answer is no for so many pages!)
4) Did I complete the page? (I even find partially finished pages, occasionally!)
5) Do I need a title page or a final page? (I'm about 50/50 with doing these)
Basically, is the scrapbook really, truly completely done?
I started this weekend with replacing an old book that one of my dogs chewed on when she was new to us and getting the books in chronological order on my shelves with spine markers.
I am hoping to do one at least one book (well, 1 year--some years stretched into 2 books) a month. And the more recent years are in better scrapbooks and more complete. My earliest book is approx. 1992, so I'm hoping to have them all done by the end of this year.
Saturday I printed off all those photos. Last night I took about an hour selecting PL sheet protectors and arranging the photos and adding PL cards. Today I trimmed some photos down (I even cut some in half and stuck them in two slots!) and added bits of cardstock and journaling....and even tho the journaling is not quite complete, I have added 25 pages to this album, over the course of about 2.5 hours!!!!!! Alright, alright, I LOVE Project Life! haha!!!
*Granted, three of those sheet protectors are narrow and simply three photos inserted into the three slots, haha, but I don't know how else to track it so that's what I'm calling it. ;)
They're all on my blog HERE if you're interested. The photos of the pages do not turn out well with it all being in plastic. Oh well....
Also, I got an email that Walgreens is extending their .9 4x6 photo price til Wednesday, so I decided to add Halloween and Thanksgiving happenings to this same album and call it 2015 Holiday Season. And now I need to select those photos!!

2024 Scrapping Goals: May: 26/20; April:11; 2024: 72/125
Thanks to Lela for VSBN and to Sharon for some much needed motivation. I finished all of the VSBN Challenges and I have already met my goal for the month! 10/10
Welcome back Mary Pat and Beth. I'm not here too much anymore either but I'm trying this year to make time to participate a little bit more. I've already completed 3 pages when I only completed 4 all last year! Just gotta stay out of Facebook...that's one that can really suck you in My daughter got me started playing some of the games and it's a great way to destress at the end of a long work day.
I printed off over 100 scrapbook pages this year and they are all still in the cardboard shipping box. I need to go through them and put them into sleeves and get them organized too Beth...I just dread starting that project since I scrap really out of order!

I scrap out of order too, as of about 7 years ago. Now I just put them in order as I go, and adjust when I have a good size stack. Then I re-order everything after that point, lol. I usually enjoy that project because I get to review so much of what I've done. And I like getting the stack off the shelf. Buuut...sometimes it can also feel like a colossal waste of time! ;)

I, too, do not scrap my photos in order of date taken. A few months ago I went through albums that needed pages inserted into the right order and got them all organized pretty close to date taken. Now I have a stack building for 2015 that I won't mess with until I'm pretty sure I'm done with photos from that year. Like Tanya said, I enjoyed going back looking at the times past. I do have the Disney World pages piling up separately for their own album. Why don't I just finish the Disney pics? I don't know. . . {squirrel}
