IFC27: 2/23/09 Shades of Yellow, Blue & Green + Miracle
Hello Everyone! I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to be back with you this week and able to post my challenge. Thank you all so much for the love and support I received during my time of illness. ;)
Well, are you ready for the final challenge of the IFC "Get out of Your Comfort Zone Contest"? Since the last challenge was such a serious one (and I'm still getting through your uploads btw) I thought we would lighten things up just a little bit.
Your Challenge:
Part one: Attached you will find a color swatch to use for inspiration in choosing your papers and embellishments for your layout. Colors are hard to match so you don't have to be exact.
Part two: Your word prompt is MIRACLE. You do not have to use it in your title or your journaling. What I would like for you to do is grab the first photos that come to mind when you think of the word MIRACLE and create your page.
This challenge is worth 200 points and it can't be combined with any other IFC Contest Challenges. Your layout must include photos, title and journaling to qualify for the points.
Please use the keyword IFC27 for all layouts submitted for this challenge. Make sure that you return here and leave a reply with a link to your challenge page when you are complete so that we can leave you some love.
You can find all layouts submitted for this challenge HERE
Important Stuff:
-This is the final challenge of the "get out of your comfort zone contest". To receive the 200 points for this challenge you must have it completed and uploaded to the gallery by Sunday, March 1st 2009, 11:59pm EST.
-If you would like to complete any of the other contest layouts for points you will also have the same deadline as listed above.
-I will tally up all the points and announce the 3 winners no later than Monday, March 9th, 2009.
I want to thank you all for all your hard work and participation during this contest. I have enjoyed seeing all your creations and I hope you have enjoyed creating. ;)
One Final NOTE:
I am taking the month of March off to deal with some personal issues. During this time frame I have lined up a very talented and wonderful group of guest hostesses. I know that you will enjoy what they have lined up for you and I will be looking forward to rejoining you in April.
SBC's Information Thread: Everything you need to know to participate! If you have any questions please feel free to contact any member of the SBCT (ScrapBook Challenge Team) via pm or simply post in this thread.

Thank you so much for those kind words Tam. I need this break to go through some medical testing and although I know in my heart of hearts God is gonna take care of me, I also know that my mind will be elsewhere and it will be hard for me to give this my full attention and I don't like to do things half-way. I am so very pleased with all the participation this contest received and I am glad we had such a great kick-off to the new year. ;)
Thanks Patti! Way to go there speedy gonzalez. I just happen to peak in before I go to bed and you are already done. This was really cute. 200 points;)

Thanks Candy! I am so happy with what you all have accomplished and it has been a ton of fun. I'm already making plans for April. ;)

Great Challenge.... I can't wait to play! My life has been so full of Miracles that just about any photo I choose can tell you my life story. My family and I have been so very blessed and I know you will be also. I know the Lord Loves you, Jenn and he will bless and keep you always. I am glad you are back with us. I hope all goes well and you can get feeling better really soon...
This is a wonderful challenge and I hope to be able to do a page at some point. My son and DIL have to make a trip back east this week and DH and I are going to stay at their house to take care of our DGDs. I also have to still work full-time, so I don't know how much serious scrapping I'll get done, although I might find myself doing a page or two with my 6 1/2 yr. old granddaughter who likes to scrap ('ve been training her right! lol) We'll see!
Either way, please continue to treat yourself with TLC -- and good luck on the testing. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
Hi! I'm fairly new to uploading here for scrapbooking. I wasn't aware that there was a contest, but I want to play! I understand what I need to do for this challenge but what other challenges are included in this contest? I searched but it wasn't clear.
Thanks!
P.S. I'm sorry to hear that you're sick but I'm glad you're getting better.

Hi Marilyn.... I am glad you are joining us! I am sure Jenn or anyone else here could also answer your question and or help you out. But I thought I would give you a quick heads up. This contest that Jenn hosts and speaks of is the contest she started at the beginning of the new year. The Challenges involved in the Contest start with IFC21 and go through and includes all challenges including Today's IFC27. So you have 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27. And you can find them all listed here at this link....
Jenn, thanks so much for this challenge! I finally put thoughts about my son down on paper. I included pics of Kyle from birth to now, so I did have to scrap two pages.
Here's mine! This was a great challenge. It gave me a way to scrap a very meaningful contribution in my life. I didn't have the exact colors suggested, but I did stay as close to the recommendations as possible.

So, I was totally not expecting SCS to be down last week and that has thrown off my action plan a bit. What I am going to do to speed things up for me and you so we can get to the winners is post your points in the comment section of your layout for this particular challenge. I have to look at the layouts anyway and it keeps me from flipping back and forth between the thread and gallery. So be on the lookout for that sometime later on today. I hope you all are enjoying the guest hostesses and their challenges. Have a great week.
Took the last class at JessicaSprague.com today in the Up and Running Class and created a layout that fit this challenge. The colors worked well with the swatches and the "Miracle" is, of course, my DGS. When I married my DH (he was my 2nd), I often prayed that I would have the chance to have a baby in my life (not possible really since I had had that taken care of after my 2nd child with my 1st hubby) so imagine my surprise when God answered my prayers! My DD had a baby and couldn't really take care of him properly and DGS came into our lives on a permanent basis the day before Thanksgiving 2003. It's been such a joy and truly a miracle! (That is another layout that will eventually be done..just needs to be thought about a lot first). And as my DH reminds me when DGS is being quite ornery, "Just remember, you prayed for him!"
