My demo does stamp camps and we also just started a Hostess Club.. and we are I think 2 members too short for a whole year. We'd love to have you! Our next club meets next Friday the 21st.

I belong to Austin Stampers & Scrappers on Meetup.com there are a lot of activities and it's a great group of ladies.
Also, I will be having a class at my house on the 26th of September. I had to cancel my class for this month as I'm hoping to go on vacation next week and this week I'm at home due to the FLU.
I miss Texas!! I was born and raised in Texas (Denton & Collin Co.). DH and I moved to AZ in March. The new has worn off and the party is OVER!! It is TOO HOT here - I don't care if it is a dry heat. They keep promising rain - haven't seen more than 5 drops since I've been here. I am mentally planning to move back (don't tell DH though!). I'll throw a BIG stamping/scrapping all weekend party when I do and you will all be invited!!
I was born and raised in San Antonio, but have lived in Iowa and Colorado, before coming back to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Those other places are too cold for me! LOL
My friend Becky and I are always looking for others in our area to crop with, so I'll check back to see if anything is going on soon!
I life in the DFW / Keller area and have a small group of gals that I meet with to make cards for our church card ministry.
I grew up in Keller many years ago - before it grew!

I'm just on the north edge of Fort Worth where it touches Keller, but I have a Keller address. I've been going to church in Keller for 20 years, and it certainly has grown even in that time. It expanded fast, kinda like my card-making addiction! LOL

I went to First Baptist Church - which was across from the HIGH SCHOOL.
The original church is now part of a HUGE church and I believe the old high school is now a jr, high.
Sigh - those were the days

Enabler alert in Celina TX--I just got $500 worth of stuff for $121.00. That wonderful store--Delightful Hands is closing and the sale is today, tomorrow and Friday. All first rate stuff but a warning --take food--I was in line to check out for 4 1/2 hours...no, that is not a joke!

Karen, Wow! Yes the church has really, really grown. We just opened a new section with classrooms and staff offices. When did you attend FBC? I've been there since late 1989.

We are building a "hanger home" near Cleveland Tx where we will become snow birds excaping the snow and cold of Cleveland Oh...ironic, huh? Anyway, since my husband and sons will have their hobby space (the hanger for airplanes and other toys) I have asked for a scrap/craft area. The plan is to be there after Christmas up here and come back around Easter. I bringing my stash and hope to start some crops in our new little community. I'll check back again as we get closer to the move date and see who's around and able to get together.

I graduated in 1981, and left for school - UTA I really haven't been back there since except when I visted my mom and she moved to Bowie Texas and now is in New Mexico. I drove through Keller last weekend. My son loves Tornado Terry's

Hi Karen, I am going to convention with my mom and friend. I wanted to go so bad that I asked my Step Dad to take 3 of my kids to school so I can go the night before and get lots of rest. I am bringing my 3 year old but she loves to shop LOL Too bad I can only stay for one day, then I have to rush back to Fort Hood for my crop. Hope you have fun!!
Sandy - that is great that you are going! I am going for one day too, but taking 3 classes. I hope I can keep up! If you are going on Friday I'll keep an eye out for you since you'll have your 3yr old with you! My husband is taking the day off so I can go. (We have 2 year old twin girls and 6 yr old boy.) Well, we seem to have a lot in common. Besides attending the same church (at different times), we also both attended UTA. I graduated from UTA in 1982. But I have never heard of Tornado Terry's. What/where is it?

Okay - So now I'm gettin' excited....now that I know there are other "Paper-Mates" here in Texas. Now I just need to find someone south of Corpus.... You know....that area on the national weather map that the weather channel guy always stands in front of.... So what is it that might be happening in San Antonio ?
But they might have one in San Antonio in the Spring.
Where in the Austin territory do you live?
What was the 10/10 gathering ? Can you direct me to a way to search gatherings and convention dates. I don't get on this site everyday, and am still learning to navigate.

Hello! I'm originally from Michigan, but moved to Texas back in 1987. I lived in the DFW area for 10 years before moving to Georgetown, TX (near Austin).
Hi everyone; I just joined SCS recently and found this thread today - anyone on SCS from Southeast Texas?? I live in Orange & although I go to Houston a LOT, it's a little far for an everyday trip. I would love to meet&greet some people from this area!!
