I am very excited !! I can't wait until Sat. I made a little treat for everyone. ( chocolate of course)
I am going to bring a warm chipped beef dip with bagel bits for dipping
and a warm spinach / artichoke dip with chips. I hope you guys like them.
I have everything made and packed!! Empty nester here with hunting husband that is where I get my time.
Hope everyone makes the trip safely and I can't wait to meet everyone!!!!

Hi Kathie,
I wanted to give you the heads up that Jennifer-g will not be coming on Saturday. She is SUPER disappointed, but she is actually in the hospital due some pre term labor issues. She will be on bed rest once she is released from the hospital. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

??? You mean not driving alone? She is such a procrastinator I told her it had to BE THERE by the deadline. She said she had such a great time last year, she's really looking forward to it.
World Card Making Day - 1 attendee
We worked on nugget boxes and her flyer for a stanley open house. A great evening and my house is ready for my stamp group Tuesday night.
Tommorrow is all about prep for the shoebox and other stuff. I have the coolest lottery idea!!!!!!!!!!

You should have let me know... I would have loved to get out of the house and make a card or two... Howard isn't all that far for me to go...
Jen and the baby are doing ok thus far. They are trying to stop the contractions and get everything stable. She still has 7 weeks til her due date so they are being pretty cautious. Hopefully they can get things stable so that she can go home but she will be on bed rest for a few weeks.
As for her swap stuff, I'm actually not registered to come this year due to scheduling issues so I wouldn't be able to bring her stuff. I'm not actually even sure if she had anything done yet. I will keep you posted if anything changes.

ok so I have my shoe box done 14 made up, my individual swap done and my lottery item ready to go. all I need to do is my anything but a card done, and pack would anyone want to play with a cuttle bug? I could bring mine along. I have quite a few dry emboss folders and they don't take up much room. let me know and I'll bring it along

Heather - I live in Sun Prairie and can stop by to pick up Jen's swap stuff - it's no problem. I am taking the day off on Friday (well, half a day) and it would be very easy for me to pick up her things (I would just need directions) and her DH could just leave a bag on the porch.
Let her know we are all thinking of her and like AZMommy said - PM us with her address so we can send her our well wishes.
Also let her know I am willing to stop by her house and pick up her stuff to take with me to the Gathering.

Woot! ITs almost time! I need to putting things together I had no idea i had to make some too. Ohh well at least I got the whole day tomorrow to have fun! Do we need to bring food? I live near the lodge so I am staying in my nice warm bed for the night but soo looking forward to meeting everyone. Let me know if you all need any goodies for it. I really must update my email list. I did come across your email addy in my organizer on the dec page. I put it in a safe place I guess! I'll be having other open stamp days like that. A bunch of us are going to assemble all the card fronts to send to one of my stamp groups spouse in Iraq. We can always use more helpers on thsoe days. Sometime in the next few weeks.
I have to admit I didn't start my cards yet. My lottery item is done. I know what I'm doing so time to get my butt off the computer and go stamp!

I am almost done, but I better finish or else I will be finishing them up in the hotel room tomorrow night... lol!!! send dh down the the pool w/the kiddies and I am upstairs stamping...
I have one question...do we need to wrap up the shoebox swap in separate baggies? Cause if we do i need to rush out and get some!
Most people usually do put the supplies in individual baggies...it makes it easier. But - I've been to shoebox swaps where things weren't in baggies and it took a little bit longer to get everything, but it still worked.
So...I guess it's really up to you.
Less than 24 hours - can't hardly wait!!

I was here too... getting ready to go down and jump in the hot tub myself...
I had a blast. This is the first year that I have participated in and I can't wait till next year...to bad we can't do this every 6 months
It was so nice meeting everyone and the cards oh my goodness, such wonderful ideas!!! Thank you so much Shrades for coordinating this...you are just Great
What a fun day!!! It was so great to meet everyone! The cards and projects were awesome. thanks Kathy for all your work with making it happen.

Hahahahahahaha....very funny. Naked cowboys and me being EARLY instead of late. Go figure. What a great time, though!! Three naked cowboys each...imagine that. How am I ever going to explain that to DH??
Had a nice drive back to Mad-City; still going through all the swaps and all the shoebox projects, admiring everyone's creativity.
Kathie, thank you very much for organizing this and for making our group, the "Northwoods Friends" an non-profit. Next year it will be fun to see what we can raise in donations.

Had a wonderful time, great cards, ideas and lots of fun. The two newbies I brought can't wait for the next one and want to join me for the Mad City one in the winter/spring cause they had so much fun! Thanks Schrades for all your organizing time, it was a blast.
I just wanted to let everyone know, that my sister and I were the last ones to leave Sat night and found a pair of scissors and a waste basket on the round table in the corner where Kim had her multitude of wonderful cards set up...

Will you check to see if the scissors have my name on them? I marked my Creative Memories blue scissors (with a yellow label that has my name) on one of the blades. If the scissors aren't dark blue CM ones, then they're not mine.
Maybe one of the naked cowboys took my scissors...eh, Connie??
