Not really, given that I have LOTS of other swaps to do, and several local Custom Order's are coming in for Mother's Day, etc.
Here is a photo of what "I WAS" going to do. The only thing folks would have had to do was:
1.) Fold, create, and pierce the holes for the collar for the button brads.
2.) Stamp the sentiment inside the card.
3.) Put the card together.
It's so hard FOR ME to come up with creative card idea's that can be...
1.) Done in less that 10 minutes from start to finish.
AND
2.) Cards that DON'T require lots of "bulky tools", like a Big Shot, etc. Due to space limitations.
Oh, that's the card you were telling me about on the phone. I think it's cute. Why's it out?
BTW, did you get my email, Christi?
Hi Linda,
Yes, this is the card I was talking to you about on the phone.
Given that Father's Day is shortly after our event, I thought it might be a nice idea to do a "Manly Card".
My idea was that folks could choose the base color they wanted to use, and the patterned tie that they wanted to make them more personalized. All of the shirts are white & embossed with an argyle embossing folder. The brads are little black buttons.
The reason I'm thinking it's "out" is because I've already cut everything to size AND embossed the pieces. I'm worried that I didn't leave enough for the ladies "to do" on the card.
Yes, I got your email. Thanks, it's being taken care of. ;)
Hi - Are there any posts that detail how the garage sale works? How much can we bring to sell, can it be any items, do we price each item .. etc? Thinking about cleaning out a few craft drawers!
Diane, there aren't really any details, per se. You just bring what you want to move, priced at what you want to get. Do price things individually unless you want to sell them as a lot. Or, you could mark things "all in this box $xx each". Really, whatever you want to do is fine EXCEPT that no current Stampin' Up! merchandise can be sold.

Thanks for the info! I have just realized how many items I need to make for the 16th -- {Edited to be the right date of the 18th! } and how little time there is between now and then! So I may not have time to sort through my craft drawers after all.. I think panic is just starting to set in. ...

Unless the 16th is something else, just try to be ready by the 18th.
Apparently, I am also confused. It is the 18th. I'm going to change my post above. I have another event scheduled on the 11th and just glanced at the calendar this morning. Oops!!!

Have no idea why I said the 16th.. But I also changed my post so as not to confuse any others. I feel so much better knowing I have till the 18th, 2 more days to get my act together. ;-)
true. but i'm a little threw by the company coming. it was to be allen's dad and allen's brother joey. when we hear joey-we never count on him,til he has actually left jersey. but last night he called. he is now bringing the wife & baby. plus 3 others-all kids!
i'm not ready. spare bath upstairs still has no power. and won't before they come. my floors & steps are still under finished. so the wood will be unprotected for their stay.
don't get me started with finding sleeping areas for all. then the meals. teens staying up late-bugging my alone time into the late hours.
all this for less than 48 hours of chaos!
My son's high school, Maine-Endwell, did their 1st performance of West Side Story last night, and boy did they NAIL it! It was GREAT! They are doing it again to night and then on Sunday afternoon, so if you're in the area, I strongly suggest you check it out.

I'm not a huge musical fan ... but I think I'd like that one!!

Another great show last night! One more this afternoon, and sadly, DS's high school theatrical career will be 1/4 over :( . He really enjoys being a part of the Spartan Theater Company, and we're happy he's involved with a great group of kids, and adults. It's going to over in a heartbeat, so we are trying to enjoy every minuet of it.
Anyone want 2 adorable cats who insist I get up with them at 6:00am like every normal day even when I don't get to bed until 1:00am because of above DS's cast party after the show last night? It's 7:00am and I need a nap!
