This is not a stamping/scrapbooking/craft store, but a great place for you to stop on the way home is Stew Leonard's, the "world's largest dairy store." It's not too far off Exit 7 from I-84. It's not your typical grocery store and definitely should be checked out. There is a Michael's right near it, too.

Yes, Stew Leonard's in Newington, is not too far from Wethersfield. Probably less than 15 minutes. You will need to map out your shopping. If you go to Stew Leonard's, there is a Michael's and a big Joann's ETC (like the one in Manchester).

Newington is approx 15 minutes West from Wethersfield, Manchester is approximately 20 minutes North. Yes Stew Leonard's is in Newington as are a small, decrepit Michael's & a Joann's. If you are going to travel, go to Manchester because you can hit 5 stores right in the same vicinity. Fran, I do not scrapbook anymore either. I make cards, make home dec stuff and make mini books. The classes I am taking are a mix of those. I used to scrapbook but when I made a million layouts of my cats and flower garden I ran out of ideas.
It is just like any kind of convention though, classes demos and a huge shopping floor!
In Manchester, there is a Michael's and a Joanne's at opposite ends of the same plaza. Two blocks down is AC Moore and not too far from that is the Final Markdown. The Final Markdown is hit or miss, but I have bought stamps and punches there for cheap. The Christmas Tree shop is kind of diagonally across from AC Moore
Looks like this place is ideally located!!!

also have any of you ever used embellie gellie? It's the greatest thing on earth to add bling to your cards. If you're interested I'll make a card with bling and you can see how to use it!!! SUPER EASY and it works like a charm!

Fran, I will not be able to come to the event. I just got an invitation that I couldn't refuse! A week down in florida with my daughter and I just couldn't pass that up and this is right during the event.

As I was sitting in work today, I realized that this may affect Debragmc from coming as well, cause I was her ride. I will have to confirm with her and have her post on the thread. I was so happy about the trip I was in my "me" world.

No one actually offered to sign me up, I just expressed an interest in going. Are there openings? Do I sign myself up, does a demo have to do it for me? If you're willing to "bring" me, that would be wonderful!
Yes, a demo has to sign you up as their guest. Depends on which day you would like to go. I am going on Friday. The cost is $75 and comes with the Nature Walk stamp set. You have to decide either clear or wood mount.

A demo can sign up to 8 guests but the demo has to sign up and pay through their website. I'm willing to try and sign someone else up, I just need the money right away.
