Default ???What is diamond dust???

Hello,

I'm pretty new to this site and stampin up. I love it. I think I'm an addict. Anyhoo, I have seen some beautiful cards that use 'diamond dust.' I have tried to google it but I'm not getting anything. I know it's something that sparkles, like glitter. But what is it exactly?

Someone please....

Click on the Resource button at the top right corner of this page. Scroll down until you find the Tutorial, explanation of how to do this technique, that says Dazzling Diamond Dust. Click on that button. You will then have a step by step tutorial on how to create this awesome technique. Look on the right hand side of the page & you will find a printable version of the technique. Click on that & print it off. Good Luck!

It's an ultra fine glitter that SU sells. Believe me this stuff is the MOST AWESOME glitter you will ever find. I LOVE THIS STUFF.

The name of this technique is confusing me. It has nothing to do with Diamond Dust glitter? Looks like it's heat embossing with Irridescent Ice EP. Is glossy paper a requirement?

You're right, it is confusing when a technique has the same name as a popular product! The Glittering Diamond Dust technique can be done on any cardstock alone or over a stamped image. You will end up with a coated glittery finish that you can see through (unless your using really dark cs, lol). Don't be shocked if the surface is like sandpaper - it supposed to have that texture (its due to the solid glitter pieces in the embossing powder).

It's a beautiful technique and makes a fabulous background!

Diane

Do you mix the Iridescent Ice EP with glitter, or use the EP on its own?
