I would think a flat rate priority mail box? one size is $9.80 and one is $13....something. You can fit a lot in these boxes and it all goes for the same amount no matter the weight.
blessings.
Most office supply stores sell cardboard boxes so you should be able to find a size with dimensions to accommodate your stuff. If the sides are too high, they can be cut down (saves on weight therefore expenses and causes less shifting during transit.)
If it is just paper, there are bubble envelopes that have sufficient inner dimensions (I use cardboard on both sides of the paper for added stability.)
The priority flat rate storage boxes work. I do it all the time. What you have to do is "smoosh the middle section (longer side) so it expands just a little bit and just that tiny bit of room is all you need. I usually protect the corners for my buyers by bubble wrapping or what PTI did was fold some cardboard over the corners. I also like to saran wrap all the papers together.
The 12 x 12 should fit diagonally...I have shipped them in the long flat rate boxes before..I just put newspaper or bubble wrap on top and underneath to support is safely in the box. Good luck.
