Default Prismacolor Blending Pencil Help

After reading that these were an alternative to Gasmol, I went out and purchased them. So how do I use them? TIA for any pointers.

I have one of these....I have not used it too much, because it does not seem as effective as Gamsol or blender pens, but I think that you would use it in the same way. Put down some color and then move the blender pencil in a small circular fashion to spread the color. I would be interested to know if anyone else has had more experience and opinions.

Default I personally think that odorless mineral spirits.....

provides a much better look. I think it blends the colors nicer. The pencils work ok but take longer as well.

I use the pencils strictly because I don't like the hassle of using the gamsol/mineral spirits. I color with the pencil, then blend by coloring over the top of what I've colored in a circular fashion. I go back and add color as needed. Works great for me.

Thanks for the help Novell. I am going to my demo's house next Sat. to make cards and wanted an alternative to the Gamsol since she is pregnant. Hopefully I will have time to experiment with both this week.
