Digital Photo Developing-where do you get yours done?
Hi all,
I have a ton of digital pictures on my computer that I need to have printed somewhere. Where have you gotten yours done and been happy with them?
Thanks!!
Brenda
I have mine developed at www.winkflash.com Regular 4x6 prints are .12 apiece and shipping is .99, no matter how many pics you get developed. Once in a while, I've heard people were unhappy with this company, but I have to say, I've had nothing but good luck with them so far.
I have dial-up so I can't upload all my pics for any online place, so I go to Wal-Mart, drop them off before I start my shopping and pick them up when I'm done. Love it!
I download all my pics right from home to Walgreens and pick them up in about an hour at the Walgreens right down the street. 19 cents a print everyday online. (29 cents when you bring in your card to the store!) Same quality as their one hour service.

I don't have many done but have been happy with snapfish.com
I have not done much in the way of comparison. What I do like is that I can send our digital photos (through cyberspace!!) and they store them - I feel that is one more bit of insurance in case the computer crashes. We go on cruises with friends - they can then view our pics and order if they are so inclined.
I have a stand alone HP photo printer so I do most of my own. If I want to send them out to have them done, I use SnapFish. They are great and the cost is good!
HTH

I love Snapfish! You can get matte finishing, as well as glossy (I prefer matte). Not too many places offer that. In addition, they offer you the option of "cropping" your photo(s) to slightly smaller than 4x6, which is great for scrapbooking and getting a better fit on 12x12 pages. Consumer Reports recently ranked these types of services and I think their number 1 choice was Target.

I just wanted to add that Consumer Reports liked Snapfish, but gave better marks to Target (I think for photo quality).

Wal-Mart for me, too! I just upload them to Wal-Mart from home or work and pick thme up in an hour. I have also done this but had them sent to me at home when I didnt need them in a hurry, soooooooooooo easy!
I print my own at home. Have a great HP printer. That way I can crop or improve the quality myself. I get free photo paper with my ink refills so the only cost is the ink.
I have tried a few places and let me tell you... these people are amazing!
i check this one too... it is great what they offer you. all kinds of neat stuff!!! i love the writing you can do into your pic.... but they are a bit pricy
I use www.yorkphoto.com and have been happy with the results. If I order on Sunday I usually have them by Friday. Right now their having a sale on prints - $.08 each for up to 100 4x6 prints. Shipping is extra. The code for that is YSUMMER2A. PM me your email address and I'll send an invitation to you and we can both get free prints.

I upload to Walmart if I'm in a hurry. I select one-hour developing for whichever store I'm going to be near. Otherwise I use Winkflash. I like the quality and the pricing. Shipping is only 99 cents. The last time I got pictures from Winkflash, the actual postage was more than what I paid for prints - still charged just 99 cents!

I use KodakGallery.com I can upload huge bunches of photos (I've done as many as 150 at a time) easily. I then have them shipped to a supermarket near my house and the shipping is only 1.49. I get them in about 2 days. The quality is wonderful - I've never had a problem. I just love them!
I love my Ritz Camera Store developing...They do a great job, and i love having my prepaid card to keep me on budget, and then getting a discount coupon for my enlargements- those different sizes of pictures make my pages look better. I got 300 4 x 6 for $50. They are also adding a 6x 6 print that prints what you see in your camera, without losing anything to format changes from different cameras...i never had a problem, but it might matter to some other folks....

I upload my pics to Walgreens, too, for 19 cents/print. I love the quality, and that I can upload them and pick them up anytime, especially since they're just around the corner from me. HTH
I agree with all of the snapfish.com posts! I love them! They also fix red-eye on pictures you upload and then order...I love the fact that you can also invite friends and family to view your albums and then they can order pictures if they want! LOVE THEM!

Just my regular 4x6's I get done at Costco - order online and they are ready for pickup the next day - and only $.15 even up here in Canada (you can choose glossy or matte, border or no border)...
I use CM Photo Center at Creative Memories. They've been excellent.

Winkflash for me, too! they have bar none the best prices, they're fast, and the quality is excellent. I've used Costco, Snapfish, Kodak, and Ofoto and I think quality wise they're all pretty on par with each other, so for me it's price, and winkflash beats them all.
I do Sams as well...they will mail them out for you or we send the images to my parents sams and they will develop them there and then thye can pick them up...and we can pay in advance as well.
