Default TAC Hip Hardware

I've been looking at all of the examples using this hardware, but I can't figure out if I would need to cut the center part out of the rectangle, square, or oval shaped "hardware" after stamping the hardware image. I'm not very good at using my craft knife, so it probably wouldn't look very smooth around the edges if I had to cut out the middle section, and all of the pictures in the gallery and in this thread look so nice and smooth. Do you just emboss around the edges and leave the center part so a message can be stamped in the center? Could someone please help me figure this out? Thank you.

I do it both ways. I have found it is easier to stamp the word or image first and then emboss the frame around that though. I did cut out the centers of the stamps so I could see for positioning. IMO, this is one of the most genius sets ever made. The look of hardware done in metallic EP, but no weight or bulk for mailing. I would say this is my most valuable and most used set.

Great tip to cut out the centers of the stamps themselves, housefan! I know I did it on my SU label set and it really helped avoid any stray ink spots!

Thank you so much! I get it now; it's not as hard as I was making it out to be.

Can someone post a link to this? I looked on the TAC website last night and could not find what you are talking about.

Thanks

It's tucked in the category of "Borders" under the Stamps tab!
