So I talked to Beate. . . . . . .and she says the new set given out at Leadership is great! Very Cami. It's called Petal Pushers, and is a set of 9 with cute flowers and stems like the flowers in Gladsome Garden, but with pointier leaves. Can't wait to see the new set in person on Saturday when she comes home!
She said all the splitcoasters she's met have been so sweet, and will keep us posted on any news!
wonder if we'll here anything juicy! It's hard to believe it's been a year already. I was able to go to Leadership last year but with the trip back to the states with my kids over the holidays, there was no way I was able to swing it this year. Maybe I'll be able to go to convention. LOL, 5 years and I haven't been to one yet!
Okay, just had another call from Beate. She has EXCITING NEWS to share!!
but first. . .some interesting stats:
there are 1,271 attending Leadership
48 states represented
27% larger than 2004
Sales were around $20 MILLION last year with
6000 + more demos in 2004 than in 2003
85% in canadian sales
After the move, they can now process 10,000 orders a day, and most orders are picked & shipped the same day they are placed.
96% of customers surveyed said that their demo met or exceeded their expectations.
38% of those same customers said they held workshops for free stuff
36% said they held workshops to learn new techniques
A second plant is in the works in Kanab. Drawings are already being made. And the big drumroll. . . .
We will be going international! There were not many details, but WOWWWWW!!!!!! How exciting!!!!
I was wondering when SU! would announce going International! Theyve had multi languages on the products for awhile, so I figured it was in the works!!! I think its great!!! The U.S. eventually will be saturated, and International had to be the way to go!

Woo HOoo now those gals from England can jump on board...it makes good business sense that they would have to have the shipping thing up and functional and expandable before going international... I think we may need East Coast Shipping too!

Not pathetic at all! Beate had a list of people that she HAD to meet, I think! LOL
That book is FABULOUS! (of course, I helped stamp the inside pages when I went to Beate's on Saturday!) I'm sure she'll post it when she gets back. She made it as a suprise thank you gift for Shelli. How cool is that? It's a takeoff of the one in her gallery that she made for herself. Too cool, and modeled after the lil' davis board books. The ones you can buy are nice, but the one she MADE is even better!
I waited up till 11:30 waiting for more news and a recap on the Show-Me fair. . .but nothing! My sweet friend was probably tired, and went right to bed! I'm sure she'll call again around noon!

Oh, as soon as she gives me the name of the set she got at Manager's, I'll get that added to the gallery! Petal Pushers is already there.
Annnnddd. . . I'm stamping with Beate on Sunday! She doesn't know it yet, but I"m going to go and help her break in those stamps! :lol: We'll swap with those new sets at Regionals in San Antonio!
Since I already know what set we'll be getting at Regionals.....I think I'm looking forward MORE to see what Jenn and Beate will be doing with the new Leadership stamps!
Just out of curiousity: do you have to have a certain amount of sales in order to go to leadership meetings? I am signing up as a demo soon and I am just HUNGRY for information :lol: And: can everyone go to he regionals?

Ditto...so she's getting 2 sets? One from Leadership and one from the Manger's do? How lucky can a girl get?! THEN she gets one at Regionals too!! Holy cow....

it says on the demo web site that Quebec will be the next place that SU! will be expanding to. they didn't give a date for when that'll open up, but it sounds like it'll be soon.

We are heading to New Zealand in March for a holiday...My husband is thinking of floating his resume while we are there....Wouldn't it be cool if I could still be a demo if a moved was to happen!
I will be at Regionals tomorrow. My first!!! I can't remember being this excited until I start reading what everyone says about them. It is almost like when the new cattys came out. I was a new Demo then (started in May of 2004) and I thought all of you were nuts the way the conversations went on. Then I got my new catalog. I sat for hours drooling over the pages (I swear they are still wet <smile>).
When they announced regionals in my hometown (St. Louis) well I was on line as early as I could to make sure I didn't miss my chance. I have two recruits and was hoping to have a third so I could do Leadership but it didn't happen.
I already told DH that our vacation this year was going to be in Utah. He asked what was there and when I told him Convention, he has decided to have me fly in and he will join me at the end> 2000 women (and some men) drooling at the same time is not his thing :lol:
18 hours and counting for me.

I am an adult for heavens sake!!! Jen, if you were there I would have asked her if she would get yours too!! Can't wait to see what people do with the new sets they get. Lucky ladies!!! OK, back to my pathetic little life!
