Without embossing or possibly heat setting, you don't. Vellum is a pretty much nonporous paper and even classic ink won't dry on its own.

I agree with Rachel, Craft ink won't dry on vellum. Classic ink will dry but it takes a bit longer than on regular cardstock.

I have great luck using my Brilliance ink Pads with vellum, no heat setting or anything.. just stamp give it a little time to dry and voila. no hassle.

I did some copper ink on vellum and wondered the same thing! Will it ever dry? The answer was "no". I used clear embossing powder on it - and it looked really pretty! Now I like using the clear embossing over a pretty color on vellum. It looks nice!

Default Brillance

I'm with outsiderartist Brillance pads will work but other brands will not in my experience.

I've used the white craft pad on vellum and it dried (eventually) it took a good week but it finally did dry.

Here's the link to the card I used the SU white craft pad and lace snowflakes on:

Had I discovered Brilliance pads before SU, I'm sure I would own less SU ink. Brilliance pads were designed with vellum in mind and they are incredibly versatile on other surfaces as well!
