Default Acrylic Sealer

I just bought a can of acrylic sealer. Tried using it once. WOW it is STINKY!!
A couple of questions:

*Do you go outside to use it or use it at your work area?
*How long do you wait for it to dry?
*I bought it to use on pearl Ex. What else do you use it for?

Thanks for any info on this. I feel like I'm missing something that should be common sense but sometimes my brain is so filled with other stuff it doesn't have room for the obvious stamping techniques.

DEFINITELY take it outside, or at least to your garage. I know it can be a pain, but you really don't want that stuff in your lungs.

I often do more than one at a time, put them in a big box lid and take them outside and spray all at once. Make sure and hold the spray a good 10-12 inches away at least, and just mist the pieces; you don't really need a heavy coat at all.

Give them a couple of minutes and they'll be good to go! If you bought just a plain old can of acrylic sealer, that's all you can do. If you get some "workable fixative" spray sealer, you can stamp on top of it and it will accept the ink.

Thanks Betsy. I did take it outside the first time I used it. But I was confused by diagrams and what-not.

What else besides Pearl Ex needs to be sealed?

Pastel chalks need to be sealed so they do not rub off the paper. I have even sealed colored pencils to keep them from smearing.
