Inspiration Challenge #25 (Don't forget to add IC25 to your keywords please!)
Hello Fellow Stampers! Karen is a busy bee this weekend so I offered to choose an inspiration piece and post it for her. Boy, is it harder than it seems! Thanks Karen for all you does every week!
Today's inspiration comes from an ad for personal checks I received in the mail. Take your inspiration from the layout, the cover, or the theme. ** The information on this check is fictional. The name and account information on it do not exist. They are made by Checks Unlimited.... http://www.checksunlimited.com/Check....aspx?vpid=270
Feel free to translate the inspiration item into a card, a scrapbook page, or another project. Be inspired by the colors, layout, theme, or anything else -- this is up to your own interpretation!
Just got home and thought I would check to see if the challenge was up!! Woohoo!! Sure hope I get a chance play. Thanks for a beauty of a inspiration piece!
Okay, so I'm a closet stalker. I am glad to see the challenge up already, but now I'm going to bed. Maybe I will dream up a floral apricot creation while I am sleeping.
Ok...here is my Saturday card. This is pure insanity. Like I have nothing better to do but make the challenge card before I leave for Columbus. I am getting like my DD who is currently laughing at/with me.
I looked at this right away last night after it was posted but was to tired to comment and that is probably a good thing...last night I saw very pastel pumpkins in a pile for the inspiration photo...this morning I see flowers! I really needed some sleep!

too funny Rox, I'm glad you see flowers this morning !
I'm back and have mine finished. I love the softness of the check and this gave me a chance to try a collage that Judylb and I have been talking about the last few days. Thank You Joyclynn for posting this for all of us today !
Oooooh. Fun challenge. Not sure what I'm going to do just yet. And I've still got to do yesterdays Red, White and Blue challenges. Yokes - I'll be busy!
Love the ideas....just realized that the check has important info that you might want to blur out. Just trying to help.
Thanks for the concern. It is from an ad... and actually after I saw the one in the mail, I went right to their website, and right clicked and downloaded the pic so I wouldn't have to scan it! The checks I use are so much plainer than these... I bet I could stamp on them!
The cards so far are great! Thanks everyone for playing!
Not going to be able to do any stamping till Monday -- my sister is visiting from Cape Coral -- and we have lots of catching up to do. But I definitely will try this on Monday. And look at all the time I'll have to be inspired.
Love the inspiration from the check, it even has my favorite Psalm written on the top border, it's been in my signature since I joined SCS

Quick IC before heading out to a weekend full of soccer. I copied the layout from one of my previous SC cards, changing the sets and colors.......... Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I have these checks, too! It's nice to know they can be used for something besides depleting my checking account! I'll have to see what I can come up with......
Well... that check certainly is beautiful... such nice, soft colors.... and the words, at the top, are among my favorites from the Bible also.
I did get a card made earlier.... but my son has our camera with him, and won't be home until later tonight! He better make it home in time for me to get it approved and posted. Hey, wait a minute... "I'm da Mama".... I'll MAKE sure he's home in PLENTY of time for me to upload before Sunday!! tee hee!
I have mine done, I played off flowers, that wave at the top and colors - even though my scanner didn't cooperate on colors!
Joyclynn, thanks for filling in for Karen and could you sign that check now, I need to pick up some more stamping supplies...I'll share!
Ok... ds got home with the camera....

(I'm gonna have to learn how to make my link "say something" like a lot of you do!)

And we all expect to see yours on Monday LOL
I guess this would have been a great opportunity to make a checkbook cover, but I didn't think of it until now.
Now Beverly, you and I both know you are good for more than one card on the IC challenge, more like 2 or 3 so I expect to see a checkbook cover too. Oh and I would except your check anytime, your card is totally awesome !!!!!!

Okay, what about a dollar bill holder card? The card I made could turn into something like Golly made here: Golly's Dollar
Sorry, Joni, I started 4 of them, but didn't really think the other 3 fit the challenge after I got the images done. I may finish them later, but right now they're sitting on my desk sticking their tongues out at me.

Check this Out is my card that I made for the challenge. Used a old retired set to create the flowers that echo the same two tones of yellow and pink. Also added a sentiment layered across the top. But what really inspired me was SIZE. I used a check to make card the same size to fit in a standard envelope just like a check does.
