Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
REQUIREMENTS! You must!!! read and agree to the understated to be a part of our group.
1. You have to have a blog (it being a blog group that's a given I guess) and you need to be a serious blogger. At least 1 post a week. More is WONDERFUL!
2. You MUST visit your fellow Crafty Gals at least once a week and leave comments on their beautiful creations. Comments to a blogger are like that pat on the back to a child that says "good job kid!". I love knowing someone cares enough to visit my blog and then comment about the post.
3. You MUST create a blog roll with "Crafty Gals Blog Group" as the title and all your fellow Crafty Gals blogs listed.
4. *We will have 1 challenge a month. Each challenge will need to be posted to your blog on the 5th of each month. On the 5th, we would all have our creations posted to our blogs for everyone to "ohhh" and "ahhh" over These challenges will be mandatory, but they are not meant as a "RULE" so much as inspiration for the rest of us to see how you interpret the challenge.
As far as what you make it's up to you. I love to scrapbook but I make cards too and 3D projects, hair accessories, bookmarks, etc. etc., etc. All paper crafters welcome!
5. We know life is busy and around the holidays and Summer time are the hardest to check in but I ask that we all at least check in twice a week to our thread. I want us to get to know one another and we can't do that if we don't post to our group and say "Hey" every once and a while.
6. I want this to be a close knit, CLEAN group. There's enough nastiness in the world, I want this to be a nice, welcoming environment for Gals to come and feel comfortable. So no meanies allowed! *giggle*
****7. After 1 month (30 days) of inactivity without checking in or updating of your blog, you will receive a private message from me. If you do not respond to that private message, you will be dropped from the group . If you respond and you have a "life issue" and need some time, I will put you on a "leave of absence" for up to 30 days. If you do not check into the thread within that 30 day leave of absence, you will be dropped from the group. (that is a total of 60 days, a good amount of time to find out if you need to continue with our group or if you need to give up your spot for someone else to join).
If you respond to my private message and come back to the group with updates immediately, "no harm, no foul" all is well. But, adhere to the rules of 1 check in a week and 1 update a week like the rest of the group following that check in.
If you respond to my private message and cannot find the time to participate any longer in the group, it will be your responsibility to leave a comment in the group letting us know that you need to step down. If that is not done within 10 days of your PM response to me, your message will be shared with the group and you will be dropped.
Please know this is how it has to be to continue our group, to keep us going. Inactivity leads to doubt and wonder and we don't need that.
So, to break the "requirements" down....
1. Have a blog & post to it at least once a week.
2. Visit your fellow Crafty Gals blogs at least once a week.
3. Create (on your blog) a Crafty Gals Blog Group, blog roll.
4. Participate in the group's monthly challenges.
5. Check into the group's thread at least twice a week.
6. This is a nice, clean group. No meanies allowed!
7. Be active...if something happens contact me so I'll know what's going on.

February ~ **February 5th Challenge**
Show some "love" to Jeanette this month. I know that Jeanette loves Nature, patterned paper, recycled things and things you would find in the Forest. You can use any of these ideas or go to her blog and CASE (copy with a few of your own changes/touches) some beautiful card or project from her blog. In your post, just link to her blog the project that you CASED.
Make sense? Let me know if you have any questions.
March ~ **March 5th Challenge**
Show some love to Carolina this month. Carolina is going through some tough decisions right now regarding a move to the States. She and her family need our thoughts and prayers. She hasn't had time to get crafty lately. That is sad because she is such a wonderful crafter! Her creations are out of this world.
Carolina love "My Favorite Things" stamps, bright colors and mixing different patterned papers on one creation...just to name a few. Please visit her blog to be totally inspired! Please CASE (copy with a few of your own changes/touches) some beautiful card or project from her blog. In your blog link back to the project you CASED. If you just went with inspiration and not one particular creation on her blog, that is fine too
HUGS Carolina!
April ~ **April 5th Challenge**
Show some love to Barb this month! Yes, Barb is our GAL for April. Barb has a great style. I love her layered panels on her creations. She is not afraid of color either. She has a great collection of wonderful sentiments also. She loves to travel, loves the outdoors and has many adventures walking, biking, and hiking trails. Go check out her blog to find inspiration. We love ya Barb!
May ~ **May 5th Challenge**
Show some love to Tracie this month! Tracie is our GAL for May! She loves using die cuts and her Cricut. I love seeing her use her glitter stickles/glues. She shows us some cutie, cute critters on her blog! She makes beautiful monochromatic creations. She also likes making altered art and scrapbook layouts. So, go check out her blog. Look at all the cute eye candy and make something in her honor! Love ya Tracie!!!
June ~ **June 5th Challenge**
We are showing some Summer love to Lela this month! Lela is our GAL for June! Lela loves bright colors. I do believe orange might be one of her favorite colors to create with. She also likes using bird and butterflies in her creations. She does beautiful things with banners and embossing folders too! Look through her great blog, find something you love and get busy! We want to show Lela how much we love her!

Melina - Thank you so much. You are so sweet. I have only been at it about a year. I had stamps in the past but really did not know what to do with them. Then I found copics and the fun began! I love sitting in my room and just relaxing while coloring.

Ok, I have the blog roll done! It looks like we have an amazing, talented group of ladies! I am hoping to get a new posting to my blog in the next day or so. I have been helping my hubby paint a van. It is more like a craft project, called Fau Tina. Hoping it turns out ok!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Monday!

I did get pics of my cards. I'll try and get them in my gallery in the next day or so. I've been crafting crazy the last couple of days. I have a craft show Saturday. I'm doing cards, bookmarks, treat bags and hair accessories (I'm ScrappinSassy Designs over on FB). The hair accessories are made with felt, ribbon, beads and buttons and if I leave the hair clip off they can be used in scrapbooks and on cards.
So, if I'm not on as frequently as usual that's why. I should be back in the SCS groove by Monday.
Thanks so much for keeping the chatter going!
Good morning ladies, no news so far. Tomorrow is a Pro D day in Canada so that means...long weekend with the kids. I'm going to Michaels tonight for more paper. Sometimes you need a change. I need more colourful and fun paper. Melina good luck this weekend. Ladies, tonight I'll also go and visit blogs!!!.
