Yesterday a lady donated 5 lbs (and I AM NOT KIDDING) of designer series paper to me, 80% of them were already cut into standard card base size or smaller for layering. 20% of them were 12 x 3 strips.
They are ALL gorgeous and I don't want them to go to waste as she wanted me to use them to make cards to donate to RMHC. Do any of you talented ladies have any card ideas or 3D projects ideas that I can use to use up all these paper? One issue is that they are pretty flimsy (not as thick as Stampin' Ups papers)
Thank you in advance for all your ideas and link in advance.
Even flimsy DSP can be put on sturdier card stock to make pretty cards. I would suggest going to the forum and look at the Card Sketches !
This is one of the best ways to use DSP! Incorporate use with the card sketches!
One Sheet Wonders are also a great way to use DSP.
Even though these pieces are card sized already, with so much it would be easy to cut these down to smaller sizes like the ones used in One Sheet Wonders and the card sketches.
Have fun!
A 12-inch long strip, scored at every 3/4" and every inch and then pleated, ends up just the right size for a faux ribbon adhered lengthwise to a card 5.5" long. Here's an example: bunny loves paper ribbon - HYCCT1130 by PH in VA
I would die cut a bunch of shapes, flowers and store them for a later use. You could use them for card fronts later on also, you don't need to do anything right away with them. Could use some tags for the upcoming holiday season...
Thank you bound4london for all the great idea - wowowow, I can't wait to try them all! I made a few card base over the weekend and will continue to make more, can't wait to get them to RM House in Palo Alto!!!
If I stacked them all together, it would be about my cheat and I am 5"6. She gave me A LOT and I am very grateful for them. I've donated some to a local elementary school teacher already so hopefully she can put them to good use.
