Sign Up Here for the Christmas Card Challenge 2011
WHO: Everyone that needs cards for the Holidays;
WHAT: Complete 10 Christmas/Hanukkah cards each month (January through November) You can set your monthly goal for however many you’ll need. There is no score keeping here!
WHY: To relieve stress! This way you’ll have plenty of cards to send out for the holidays!! We all know how busy December can be, so why not try to get your holiday cards all done by the end of November! Remember, the whole idea behind this challenge is to make your life easier.
WHERE: First upload to your gallery then post a link in the designated thread*. Please use CCC11 in the Title or Keyword so that others can search for your cards! *Please use only the thread that I start for each month or you might be missed. To attach a link here, when the page you want us to go see is open, go to the address bar and 'copy the whole thing' then go to where you want it seen and paste it in the post box. (instructions step by step with pics in PDF at end of this post)
WHEN: The whole month! There is no 'deadline' for getting your monthly cards done. However...as an incentive, there will be a small monthly prize. At the end of each month, everyone who has completed their cards for that particular month will have their name put into a drawing for a small incentive prize.
HOW: Just post a reply to this thread saying that you want to join and then start creating! Make your cards any way you like - make them all the same or mix them up. Any tools, toys, gadgets, embellishments, etc...you decide- after all, these are YOUR cards.
You can join anytime during the year. . If you need to skip a month or two, that is perfectly fine.
Random.org picked airbornewife (Pamela) for our November winner!
I put everyone who completed all 11 months and picked 1 final goodie winner (well random picked her)
MTblackpearl (Cheryl)
Who is signed up, and what they're goal is per month
Just remember that is not written in stone, make what "YOU" want/need!
This is not a race. You can start your cards well before the 1st of the month or wait until the middle of it. This is just motivation to have a set of cards done before each month ends
2010 was the first time I participated in the challenge and I LOVED it. Sign me up for the 2011 challenge too! I'll make between 5 and 10 cards a month.
I'm in. Maybe this year I won't be left solely responsible for the grandtoddler. LOL She misses grandma but seems happy in Nashville with Mommy. The studio remodel is almost complete. Let the 2011 cards begin!

Count me in, I love this challenge!! I tried only doing 5 last year and discovered doing an odd number just did not work so I am trying for 6 a month this year.
I loved doing the challenge this year so please sign me up for 2011. Good for you, vikkijo, for taking on the organization of it. I'll make between 5 and 10 cards each month.

I would like to join in on this one again. I've done it for the last couple of years...and it's nice to be able to open the box of finished cards....ready for addressing! At least one thing is organized around here! LOL

Sign me up again! I had most of my Operation Write Home cards ready to ship and didn't have all the stress of the previous years. Thanks for starting this challenge up again.
Thanks for hostessing Vikkijo! I love this challenge!! Please sign me up for ten each month.
I will have to complete the summer months early since we will be moving this summer, if you are able to start those threads a little early, I would be most appreciative.
I'm in, I did this in 2009 and it was such a relief, signed up for 2010 but how was I to know that having a second baby was really that much different than having 1!!! Man it's been busy!!!
So guess what I will be doing the next two weeks - yep making cards and getting stressed out So I am in for 2011, Now that Maci is getting closer to a year old things should get a little more manageable!
Can't wait to see everyone's creations

Rita, I love your avatar! Is that scanned needlework or stamped image? Just too cute. Hoping to change mine tomorrow. My grandtoddler decorated a wooden Christmas tree to take home then we forgot to pack it so it's still sitting on my kitchen windowsill for a couple weeks :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed doing the challenge this year and want to participate again next year. Please sign me up for 5 each month again. Thanks for hosting. This is a fun and practical challenge!!
I see a few of my Quacker friends here that have signed up. I did this a few years ago, and it was really good to get those cards done ahead of time. Thought it was time to sign up again. This last year was pretty bad.

Hey Maggie, Sue! Glad to see you gals here. Vikki Jo will be in to add you to the list soon, I'm sure. Sue, how many ever you want to pledge is fine. It's all about what works for the individual. Me, I always pledge 10. But since Maggie and I are virtual stamping on Tuesday nights, maybe that will help. It's worth a shot!

I'm back for my THIRD year in a row! Joining the Christmas Card Challenge has been one of the best decisions I've ever made! I actually get my Xmas cards done in time! This year I think I will only commit to 4 cards a month, my circle of family and friends is getting smaller as I age!
Just and FYI Postage Cost Increase is being discusses.
46 cents
and post cards will become 30 cents
January 2011
Sounds like I need to get to the post office and pick up more 'forever' stamps. Why do they only raise it a penny or two at a time? Why not just hike it up to 50 cents and leave it alone for awhile?
If you don't have to have Christmas stamps on your cards, start stocking up on the Forever Stamps now. Then when postage goes up, you'll still be spared a few cents.
LOL Sorry, Pamela. I didn't see your post until after. That's what I do. I designate enough every check for at least 1 book of Forever Stamps. Then I'm good for the year when it comes to bill paying, card mailing, letter writing (yes, I still do that but near as often as I'd like)
