WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY AND CHALLENGE #86
CHRIS GOT CROSS!
HE TOSSED HIS BOSS!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun!
This is my story!
1. Happy Teapot Tuesday! Who'd a thunk! A teapot that you can work a crossword puzzle on and pour a cup of tea from at the very same time! It belongs to Christopher C. Spelling, III. He's obsessed with crossword puzzles. Poor guy didn't have a chance after his goofy parents name him Christopher Cross Spelling, III. (No relation to Tori!)
2. Even though Christopher is a successful attorney, his obsession with crossword puzzles has landed him in his 5th straight National Crossword Puzzle Championship! And he is a shoe-in for the Puzzlemaster Title! Well, actually, he was a shoe-in. But in the final minutes of the tournament, he came up against a word he just can't get! He's getting very stressed, very aggitated, very worked up and cross! The word was on the tip of his tongue, he was just about to crack the puzzle when his boss who traveled miles and miles to cheer him on, walked in the door and he lost his train of thought! Chris got cross and tossed his boss! Right out the same door he came in!! Yikes!
3. So here's the plan Crisanne. Crisanne is in a jam. She's Chris' fiance and he's giving her a mild case of heart failure. He's nailed 42,000 words and now he's stuck! His 5th straight championship is in serious jeopardy! She knows the word but she can't do a thing. Who'd a thunk he would get stuck on a simple word like T-E-A-P-O-T! He even has one with a crossword puzzle on it! If he wins he will be awarded cold hard cash, 42,000 $42,000 dollars bills! How much is 42,000 times $42,000 (alot, Scott!) Enough to buy the house up the street that he promised her. But he's stuck and to make matters worse, if he doesn't win, he's tossed is boss and may be unemployed! This is a dire situation!
4. In desperation, Crisanne turned to the Teapotters. Who better familiar with the word? We're headed to Boston to help Chris (who's cross) solve his puzzle! Crisanne thought we should bring teacups, teapots, or teaparty treats, you know, subliminal messaging! But just between you and me, Chris is really a head-case, he is so stressed, so worked up, ain't no way he's gonna be the Puzzlemaster this year! He's cracked! I say we bring Crisanne a house, igloo, cabin, grass hut, barn, birdhouse, cave, hat box, even an outhouse! Anything she can live in! She is most definately gonna need a roof over her head. Or, maybe we oughta just bring her a new man! We worked magic with Miss Kitty, remember?? If you can't find a house or a new man, then bring something that has letters in it, who knows, with some training under our belts, we may be back to give old Christopher whats-his-doodle a run for his money next year! We could have crossword practice sessions every Tuesday at our teaparties for an entire year and ace that tournament! And then share the Puzzlemaster Jackpot next year! (80/20) Hey, I came up with the idear! Snort!
If you can't spell you have to come in the back door!
I have help this week with two great sample cards!
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT86 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak (tea peek) on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it a couple days after the Tuesday Challenge is posted. So, be sneaky and get a jump on the other tea-potters! Snort!
If you are confused about these challenge, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges

Mudder, wahooo on crosswords! You've hit a button, or a used-to-be button anyway (who has times for crosswords anymore?)! Thanks for the challenge, MM!
Happy birthday to Kim and Hilda! Kim pleeassseee pm or email me with your mailing address. I had no idea that we shared the same birthday month. Who'd of thunk ... but then again it just goes to figure!
Happy teapartying everyone, please be patient as it takes me a while to comment!
My card is here .. not so spectacular, but it was really fun to make. I think this officially makes me an MM wannabe! And I'm soooo okay with that!

Oh and a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the birthday gals - Kim and Hilda! May all your wishes come true and may there be REAL cake, non of this make believe teaparty cake mind you!!
Happy B'day Crazy Kim and Broom! thanks for posting early Mudder - I'm so tired (is it possible to stamp TOO much???) I didn't really have a story to tell today - but I like how my card came out!
Oh, fun fun fun. I love crosswords, though I don't think I'd go as far as a teapot!!
Still trying to work out what on earth those server down times equate to in GMT, but I guess that even if I get my card made after work, you probably won't see me till Wednesday. Oh well, it will give me time to make something tasty to bring along to eat .
And Boston, what's Anne's gripe with Boston? Since the only time I saw it was when my mum had a heart attack over there, I didn't see much apart from hospital, and I'm glad to have a chance to see a bit more .
Yay you're up before the switch! I will need the extra time to think up a card for this one while the server is getting switched! PS...that teapot is super cute!
Now if I could only figure out how to reply to a "thread", I'd be "sewing" up a storm. Sniggle. Maybe this time what I have done will work!
Being the good judge of creative character that I claim to be, it came as NO surprise that I discovered that you MM are a libra as well! Not that everyone around us contains any less creative potential, but we peace keepers, gentle souls and nurturers of the downtrodden, certainly have a BIT extra. It's just a part of who we are! Sniggle.

Ok, I am off to see if this actually appears.
Tenacious Tilly
Hey, look at you Tea Tilly! I can see you....you musta done something right and on a wonky SCS site to boot! OMG! I had not thought about being a Libra for such a long time....when I was younger I remember reading it daily in the newspaper and the wondering, was my day like that? Giggle! Nurturers of the downtrodden? Well, we have certainly saved the day of many characters in a pickle! Snort!
Speaking of when we were born, I need your birthday so I can add you to the birthday bash! So you can get birthday wishes from the teapotters! Hee!
I hope you are keeping Big Butt Bertie in check. You know how she *gets*! Giggle......
Welcome! We are happy you are here and look forward to seeing you each and every week!
Snuggs and Sniggles, Snuffs and Snoggles...(I forget what all that means sometimes!)
Hey teaparty gals. I have good news and bad news. I'll give the bad news first and get that out of the way: I had to delete my teaparty card because it was not showing in the gallery or mine. So, all the kind comments are gone. Sad Thank you to those who took the time to comment on my card.
Good news, I re-uploaded it and it is showing in the gallery now. Yay.
well, between computer slips and site glitches, I decided to wait to upload...was getting a headache trying to figure it out...so here is my Cottage for Sale:
Hi Vicky! Welcome! I just checked out your cute little card! Hee! I knew somone would bring an outhouse! Snort! Its the most awesome little out house that I have seen!
