*Closed*Challenge #2 WLG~Ways to use it! Due Jan 31st
Weight Loss Group Card Challenge #2
Ways to use it!
I'm not totally familiar with a lot of challenges so I did some research today and I thought this would be really fun! It is going to be a "ways to use it" challenge. Blue indicates posted! Rules:
1. must be part of our WLG
2. must upload your card to your gallery no earlier than Jan. 29th and no later than Jan. 31st
3. must want to have some fun and try something different!
4. after all cards are submitted we will have a survey to vote from Feb. 1st until Feb. 5th
5. the person with the most votes for their card will get ALL the cards!
Challenge:
glossy paper!
Yes, you must use a technique on glossy paper. That is the only rule for this challenge. I have a list below of different ways to "use" glossy paper.
Location: NE IL until the US Navy sends us elsewhere!

I need to see if I can actually FIND my glossy cardstock first. It occurs to me that I don't remember unpacking it... but I know I bought a whole package and don't think I used more than a couple sheets... it's got to be here somewhere!!!

I had been looking at some of the threads earlier and I know some of the techniques do NOT come out right on photo paper but I don't know if that is for all the techniques. You are more then welcome to play around with some and see what you come up with though! And it's not a dumb question, others have actually asked the same thing, that's how I know!!! ;)
I used to use glossy paper all the time and haven't for ages, I'll have to do this.
AnnMarie - I've never used photo paper, but a SS sent me a package once and said it worked great for her, she never used anything else. (I'm still using up the first package of glossy I bought so haven't tried the photo paper.)

Super! Thanks for the info Kat! I appreciate it! : ) I will let you ladies know what I find out!
I noticed the other day that we are both in Batgirl's 6 month Secret Sis swap! Fun stuff!
Of course I will sign up ... April, if you would like me to host the next one I will ... let me know girly ...
Guess what...the next round is all yours!!! I will let you know when to post. (you have 2 weeks though) and I will take care of the survey. I think I got it all down pat now! It wasn't as easy to navigate as I thought it was going to be!
This is going to be a fun challenge. I think I might try the soot. I haven't done it before and I might just need to play with some fire! Good thing my DH is a firefighter huh!!! LOL!
I don't have glossy paper either but before I bought a whole pack I was going to try my photo paper. I think I'm actually going to play with this tonight because I'm kid free and it's only 615pm. So I'm going to spend some QT crafting.

Thanks April ... I have no clue what to do yet ... I will think of something ...

Oh, yes, I will participate! This has been really fun! I remembered in the last challenge to make a second card, so I have one for myself and one to send to the winner!
Glad to see we can use photo paper to try the techniques out.

I actually picked using the glossy paper (or photo paper if you don't have glossy) because I was just looking at my stack of glossy paper the other day realizing I had not used it in forever. So I thought it would be fun to get it out and do something with it.
I thought I would join this and thought WLG meant something like must be from your existing stash or something since I had never heard of it, then I read on to see it's an existing group, and now I'm trying to delete my sign up and not having any luck, only in editing - so count me out. ;( I am not a member of the WLG - but ladies - what a fun challenge!!
I'm going to be closing this tomorrow (Sunday 25th) and you can start posting your cards in your gallery as soon as Thursday (29th)!
I hope your all having fun playing with your glossy paper!
Colleen you did such a beautiful job. I'm so glad we have till Saturday to post this challenge. I plan to work on it tomorrow night. Things have been crazy busy at home the past 2 weeks.
These are turning out really great! I'm being bad and waiting till the last minute to put mine together. I'm wanting to do the soot but can't find a stamp I think will look good with it! I'll figure something out!
